    Kundabung Ride Report
    115KM
    7 Riders
    21/09/75

Left an hour late at 10am but it was good to have riders on board as numbers were looking a little dodgy to start with.
With the transport section out of the way (across the paddock) we entered Ballengarra State forest. There is a nice little hill in the first 5kms which caused minor delays but was quickly behind us as we flowed through sweeping fire trail, easy fast paced going with rock, clay and plenty of other surprises.
And it was one of the other surprises that brought Smita down 2km before the fuel stop. A huge hanging vine that had been avoided by me and another rider grabbed him by the throat and threw him down. He was shaken, sore but OK and you can’t break XR’s so on we went. We fuelled up at the creek with too long a stop.

From there we ventured into a bit of new territory for me and discovered a really nice hill that brought all but the best of us to a halt, nice work riderX and Mr KTM250 showing us how it should be done, can’t wait to conquer that one as it should link me into some really good areas. With the majority in favour of going back we ventured back into the rain forest sections that were surprisingly dry with only a few stray slippery patches waiting to catch us unawares.

From there we headed home on roughly the same route out with a new hill discovered which we came down (big rocky, loose, dusty) which now gives me four ways out from my place- (1) Impossible, so far (2) New Rock Hill, hard (3) Rock Ledge Hill, only hard when don’t know its there. (4) The Chicken Loop, yet to be used. What will you get when you come to Kundabung???

Great yarn Fossil, makes me wish I could have been in two places at once.
The silly grin on Tripper’s and Fatktm’s faces said it all. Well done buddy. Can’t wait to get up there, now I have listened to their wide eyed stories.
