    Mick’s 1000th POST

I suppose I should follow TB’s lead and say a few words to celebrate the fact that I can yabber enough, that I can register 1000 posts in a forum.
I haven’t got all that much to say that I didn’t say in response to TB’s 1000th post, you know, thanking TB and Chris for setting up the site, blah blah blah and all that.
    There have been some memorable moments since joining up, some of which were;
    In no particular order.
*stumbling across a link on Thumpertalk that lead me to the site in the first place.
    * the first ride organised by me via the site were we had 10 bikes and I thought that was huge!
*the huge chunder I had off my varandah 2hrs before the ride.
    * Madmacs dummy spit on that ride!!
*Leading a 20 bike ride through my favourite trails then having everyone back at my shed for beers and the darling wife didn’t say a word.
*The big sign I made telling TB what we thought.Ha ha ha
*The unveiling of madmacs Old Bull trailer was a special moment.Top work Mac
*Gili breaking his foot and making it home under his own steam.I was impressed.
*All of Ollies ride reports, they are great.
*the first time I shook hands with Ollie and thinking WTF!!
*The Skull duggery that TB and I pulled at a few other sites..Ha ha ha
    *Squirrels quality offerings.NOT
    *Our first International member..Congratulations Yuri.
*being offered the job as moderator.
    * TB worrying about when things went quite on the site in the early days
*Finally getting to meet TB in person and having a drink to 1.30am then fronting up to ride 116km first thing in the morning and have TB pull the pin first.
*Getting to have a ride on TB’s XR:woohoo:
    *RiderX finally joining up

I am sure there were many other moments that are worthy of a mention, but I can’t remember them now, when the pressure is on.
It has been fun being able to banter with like minded people and keep in touch with ride buddies, all of which wouldn’t have been possible, with out Chris’ and TB’s foresight in starting this site.
Maybe I do spend a bit to much time here as my wife now refers to the site as the “OLD Bores” and a couple of blokes from Wauchope now call me Old Bull.
I am happy to spend my time here as this site has the potential to be bigger than either Chris or TB ever envisioned in their wildest dreams.
It has been great to have been here from the start and watch the site grow as fast as it has, with new people signing up every day.
After only 6 months the site has grown so much,it only makes me wonder what the next 6 months have in store for us.
A big thanks to all the members that promote the site, especially Moto who is a great ambassador for the site and helps me keep the site ticking over during the day and relieve the boredom of my job.
EDIT.. Thanks to Badfun who has been with us from the start and is still there most days posting jokes that crack me up.
I am looking forward to putting faces to names at the Xmas party, it is gunna be an event to remember!!!
Anyhow that is my 1000th post for what it is worth!!!
Thanks everyone it has been a great ride!!!!

Nice work Old Man only one thing, I with you pulled the pin for a few reasons on that ride

1/ You looked like you were about to die

    2/ I had a long drive

3/ Trippers bike was very very low on oil ( I know now and I can use that )

    lol :woohoo:

    Great job again champion

Mate you haven’t seen the best of Wauchope’s trails yet. Wait till you get on a ride lead by RiderX!! With dates filling up fast for this year, we will have to wait untill the new year before we organise another biggie in Bago.I am thinking March 6,7,8.

If I were you guys I would cater for everyone that has put their hand up to come plus 5 more!!
You can always freeze the left over bangers.
Last big ride up here we had 5 last minute starters, thankfully I had over catered and every one got fed.

Moto just told me he has it in hand, I would take about 60 I reckon, two each for everyone and some spares, maybe even more? Got to be 4 dozen rolls and 30 cans of drink
