Girls on dirt bikes, splashed with mud and great big smiles, out with the boys in the bush – my perfect Saturday!!!!

Hey!!! My name is Tracy and I’ve been riding for about 18 months. I have liked bikes for ages and I soon discovered why the boys were always heading out to ride all the time – It’s sooooo fun!!!

I learnt pretty early on that girls on dirt bikes always seem to find the mud (or I do anyway!!) On my very first ride, me & my trusty TTR230A were covered in mud and roosted too!!! My only response was a great big smile and “show me more!!!”

I started out riding a Thumpstar 125 but soon realised that they handle really badly and upgraded to my TTR230A (a much better option!). We’re babysitting a friend’s Vespa at the moment so that’s great to get around town on too. I have also recently started to ride our NX650 in the Knights carpark, which is really fun too. I will be heading out on the roads soon & I can’t wait!!! I absolutely loved the extra power, but not enough to upgrade from the TTR230 – I love it too much!

I live in Newcastle with my husband and try to go riding as often as I can but lately that has only been about once or twice a month, so I need to start bugging off the other stuff and getting out there on my bike more often.

It would be great to meet to some other girls that ride as I only know a few. So, if anyone out there knows of any girls that are keen to go for a ride (from the Hunter Region, Central Coast or Newcastle) please let me know. I haven’t got a heap of experience but the only way to get better is too ride more!!! I plan to make the racey part of my name a reality!!!

Hey Tracy, well said, I sure thought you pedalled pretty good up at the watagans, I know a couple of girls that ride, so maybe we can hook you all up for a ride someday, maybe we can reverse the usual, have the girls out riding and the boys staying at home..

I thought your efforts at the last Watagans ride was great, Crash saw you ride a section that included some nasty logs and said you rode it like a gun, you go girl, thanks again for your help that day, sorry to hear you wont be at the xmas party and am looking forward to next time I am working in the castle, am going to hire a scooter and go cruising with you guys and Moto I hope Cheers

Good to see ya posting some more, as I said to Champo I had a great time last sat. You were riding really well I reckon
As I said, Good on ya for gettin out there !!!!
Good luck with the search for other riders amongst the girls out there. If ya don`t find any it`s their loss in my opinion, you are a great chick to talk to & hang out with.

Yeah that sounds great but I actually prefer to bring the boys along too as they can lift the bike of me when i need it!!
Get the girls that are keen to contact me & we can arrange a ride soon!!!

Onya Tracey! One of the best posts (and best photos) I’ve seen on this site! I’m never going to worry the front runners either but have a shed load of fun anyway. The upgrade to the XT must have been six Christmases cable-tied together! I’ll be sharing your story with a few female friends…

Bloody hell Nurofen where have you been? Good to see you back!!
Great post Tracey. I have a dirty girl in training, she is 7 and loves her little KTM.
Our club up here at Wauchope sometimes has a Free Girls come and try Motocross day with coaches and you don’t have to be a member even. I will post the date of the next one once it is confirmed.
Here is a pic of some of the Girls in our club with Chris Hollis who is one of the coaches.
My daughter is in yellow at the front. The Girl on the far right is Jacqui Jones last years winner of Lee Hogans Honda Girls on the Gas series.She can really peddle!!

Big up for support of the dirt lasses, Mick! It’s that kind of forum, hey?

Brief aside: I’ve been quitting Uni, getting a job on a big fibre optic network and getting sacked by my girlfriend of 14 years. Gotta be worth a couple of sick days?

My mate has a daughter with some of the steeliest race-face I’ve seen in ages. The younger son is probably faster. I’ll see if he’ll come aboard, watch out though, cos he tell awful lies about my riding (ahem) ability!
