Got home from work and straight to the shed to change the pilot jet in the XR before anyone arrived. Job was almost done and RiderX rocks up,the bigger pilot jet seems to be the goods as I gave the XR a bit of a test ride around town in my thongs,T-shirt and shorts.Sober though, so it isnt that bad. During that time .Tripper arrived, Crippy and my brother in law were there to,so a good crowd was there enjoying the friday arvo relax thing..
KTMRAT rocks up to have a look at the Pro senior that has been giving us some grief. He said he would bring a few spares. No kidding he even had a spare engine if things were real bad.
Anyhow Mr Blues and Catweazles, diagnosis was right, the stator was shot.It is now ripping to..Thanks Dave, and to think it only cost 2 cans of TB’s Rum. Cheap I reckon.

Mick, what the hell are you doing changing the jetting on the XR! I recently read somewhere about some guy who had been riding XR’s for 80 years, had ridden it up Mt Everest and on the bottom of the ocean and never had to change anything in the carby! Apparently it’s all smoke and mirrors, test tubes and magic dust.

Ok I am sorry about the devon head thing and will not say it again (at least until the next time) but for this time I feel my attack may of been unfair.

Is it raining up there Mick?

No rain here mate, forecast is for 28-30C, its gunna make the Pony Express hard work .Hot and dusty me thinks.
Glad it is Connor racing and not me. I have to do three hours of sweeping the coarse though.
Raining down your way is it? The forecast is for a southerly change this evening, might make it a bit cooler for tomorrows 4 hr race.

Your sincerity has me concerned. That apology is no doubt an attempt to give me a false sense of security and leave my guard open for another unprevoked attack.LOL

Don’t let your guard down Mick, you know it will happen sooner or later :)
