How do you get there you ask??
Coming from Sydney take the Morisset exit and turn left onto Mandalong rd, take the first right, Deaves rd, travel to the end of the rd and turn left onto Freeman’s drive, travel along and take the first left called Martinsville rd
Zero trip meter at the intersection
Travel 4.5kms road on left, (phone box on the right) sign says Watagan Forest road, travel till 11.6kms Y intersection veer right travel along until 15.1 klms road to the left, camping area on the right, road on left Wollombi Forest road, go straight ahead 15.5kms turn on right sign say Casurina and Turperine camping areas, turn right and follow the signs.
If you’re coming from the nth, come down the freeway to the Morisset and turn right onto Mandalong rd and take the above directions from there.
TB
EDIT If you aren’t able to read this map, right click on it and save it to your desk top and open it from there,it will open at full size.

Firstly I couldnt find a better map so get nicked! Second maybe you could reread it and see that the last major intersection is already written there and then reset your trip meter and follow the directions, just a maybe! DOH!
If I went to the trouble of going up there and doing the Klms you could at least use it!Also if you read all the special things I have written in the special christmas forum you will see that I have answered all your question from Micks whos going thread!
You will need water I think for the 3 days, we are only putting on the saturday meal, we will be doing a roll / bread and ice run saturday arvo, it all in this link !

November 21, 2008 at 8:11 am #112674Try this link…
http://www.maps.com.au/PDFS/Maps/cent_cst/CCst_Region.pdf
I have to find a decent map because a) I stop listening to directions after the words, “turn left…”
and b) I only ever stop up at Dooralong Tennis Courts so I can get to there and c) the watagans trail bike rally had us getting up to the pines by actually crossing the freeway somehow, which completely bamboozled me!

AnonymousI will need to figure it out too. The only way I KNOW how to get there is on my bike and up the fire trail. It will be a different ball game coming in via car….

Tells me that the Pines is at S33deg03.92′
E151deg20.09′Turpentine if I recall correctly is a smidge further north.
Hope this helps…I usually just mark the way points…have no idea how to input hard coords…I should learn…

As I recall, now that I’ve looked at some maps, the Watagains mob had us come up through Martinsville…never been that way before. As a result I get lost almost everytime I go up to the Pines. (one exit too far!)
No drama this end. I’ve printed a map and made some notes, packed lunch. Will not take the GPS…that thing just gets me into trouble:laugh:
