well boys I was on a mission today,I arrived at the watagans at 9is with the intentions of trying to link up greens break fire trail and german point rd. I took the Suzuki today as I dont mind if it gets a bit scratched. I had a machete on the front gaurd and a rip saw on the rear.after finding the tracks I was after I was disappointed as they both ended in sheer drop offs Doh! I then ventured over into some single trails that was pretty good riding,I also went down this one logging track which showed promise as there were numerous bike marks along it.I had to use the saw and machete a few times to get through it took about 2 hours to get to the bottom it was raining the whole time and unfortunatley it didnt go anywhere, but it wouldnt be a bad ride just have to turn around down the bottom. I rode back up and headed in another direction and came across a few other guys on the trail, they gave me weird looks as I was by myself and had a spray paint can painting rocks KTM orange:laugh: There is some great trails down this side and it has been a long time since I have ridden them.I eventually came out on Prickly ridge road and got into some more single trail, the little RMX was doing everything easy,if Suzuki still made these they would be a real challenge for the Euro’s.I then went down german point Rd near the camping area and found a track that I think is a walking track it would be absolutley awsome to ride the whole way,I rode to the bottom of a long gully and it stared getting real jurassic park like,so I got off the bike and walked about a km and it was still going when I decided I had better turn around.I might have a closer look on friday:laugh:I rode back up the hill to german point rd and then down into an old Quarry, I did the whole loop to just before it got seriously steep and where we went the Friday before with TB CHicken and Gili,I was by myself and thought I might be to easy a target for The shotgun toting banjo playing locals, I headed back towards the camping area and onto the main rd.I then did a little main rd cruising until I got to bowmans rd,this is a great track and it has a sandstone downhill that will sought the men from the boys! When I was younger I remember we used to ride up it:blink: at the bottom I went through a couple of little creek crossings and marked a few little offshoot tracks, I found a couple that TB had marked the friday before and rode down those as well.It was about this time That I had rode some more little tracks but was getting myself confused as there are roads leading of every where:unsure: hopefully I will have it all soughted by Sunday:laugh: I thought I would do some more exploring although it was getting on about 5:30 or so and I hadnt gone onto reserve yet,so I went down caters rd which hooked up onto another rd and eventually comes back out on Wollombi Rd which is the one that leads back tot he camp, I was going to do the single trail and woops opposite the camp site but was more interested in getting back to the car,so I did the dirt highway thing again, until I got Greens fie break trail again,This is one awsome track with plenty of turns, bermed corners,Puddles of water and can be ridden bloody fast Yeeehaa!! I made it back to the car and thought Fuckit! still plenty of light still havnt hit reserve!I am going to explore some more!! So I cut back into the bush a rode some great tracks that I have never ridden on before, I come over a rise and nearly got taken out by a wallaby and not 20 metre further on a pheasant or roadrunner type bird was trying to sprint away from me down the trail,I was just cruising in 4th gear and chasing him letting out turkey gobble noises to have a bit of fun,I chased him for a good 2kms down this big hill his legs and wings were going ten to the dozen.I let him go eventually as I was nearly pissing myself with laughter and made it back to the Ute. Loaded up and come home It was about 7Pm when I shut the bike down and I still hadnt gone onto reserve! Im going to sleep good tonight.Gili you missed out on a good day:laugh: This weekend is going tobe awsomeB)

AnonymousNice report Ollie
You’ll have to show me these trails. I’ll be riding next weekend if I can get my towbar sorted. Alternatively, we could go explore in the local forestry if you fancy a change? Champo knows some tracks there, I have NFI!
