How far do you want to go, how much does your kid push himself, how much money have you got, these and a lot more questions are to be answered before you can go forwards

I have owned 8 of them and you can make them go fast enough to scare the crap out of any rider, I think the best is to be gained from setting up the clutch to suit the rider’s ability at the time and then be prepared to change it where needed, I import and sell to the KTM dealers a heap of 50’s Go Fast stuff and man you would not believe how they can get up and boogie with a well sorted package.

Sounds great , he is going to recieve it for crissie as a first bike , everyone shudders at that thought but if you see this boy he has no fear and LOVES motors+power his first ever ride was on a 80 and just wanted to hold it flat to beet his older brother.Wheelstanding (powerlifting) at every opportunity then cracking up with laughter when we would all run when we thought he was going to fall (he didnt!) Im going to give him a month to get used to it then i’ll start with the $$$ as the next in line is my other son whom is now 4 (5 kids)and he wants it in 12 mths.all 2 race- great to hear you have good info keep posting inm sure hell give us old ulls a good run in a few years!

If he is serious, then dont waste too much money on this model, just use it as a transition bike, you will need to get a 12 inch front wheel, disk braked front and rear model, if you want to make podiums easy for him, and that means 2005 onwards so as I said dont go whole hog on this one
