newy to saint albans adventure – OLD Bull Trailriders

Due to popular demand. we are doing an adventure ride.

So far what we know is:

We are camping in the park between the pub and the creek at Saint Albans (near Wisemans ferry). You can also stay at the pub ($150 for 2 on a saturday) http://www.settlersarms.com.au

we will be riding a long way. Probably from Newcastle area

it will involve some road kms to get fuel

the route will be mainly gravel road type stuff

it will be suitable for trail and road tyres (I think lotsa may have some trail tyres on ebay)

a normal bike will do. But will be very cruisey

we will be stopping to smell the flowers and road kill

could even be a 3 day ride

girls will have to bring a nice dress to off set us blokes with heads like smashed crabs

it will be during the summer

Crusssshd ….you will have to talk CB talk all weekend….. over ….crussshd

What ideas do you have. What dates are you available?

Ha ha, how did me and Tyne get in there! Is tyne going to ride our hire bike and me sit on the back…..errrrr…..NO! I am going to have a look on eBay for old bike to restore though. Could even be a a bigger bike that might be upto touring when sprightened up

in the ride report you asked ‘how far is Saint Albans?’ thus an expression of interest. we also figgered that a cruisy ride would be a good come back. or you and tyne could drive back up with our camping stuff
