December 23, 2008 at 7:45 am #95576I have a mate and you could say he is not mechanically inclined ha ha Now I have done some work on his bike, you could say I do the work on his bikes, recently he has taken to keeping his new bike very very clean, overly so for a dirt bike. Now those who saw it at the Christmas party would say it looks pretty flash. Last time we washed his bike at my place he said how do you keep the disc’s polished and shinny, I tongue in cheek said WD 40 the disc! :woohoo: So today he turns up at home to have new blinkers fitted and said I have no front brake, I look at the disc and there is a black liquid dripping of the disc, and when rubbing my finger across the disc its all slippery, I said “whats this on the disc?” he replies proudly “WD 40” See Mick I can be trusted !!! He asked I don’t name him, but you can! TB December 23, 2008 at 8:38 am #115849Christ,

Chris.December 23, 2008 at 11:15 pm #115871The ride up would have been “interesting” December 24, 2008 at 1:05 am #115883You have to be careful what you say to some people. We had an apprentice that was fitting a ROPS to a brand new backhoe and the bolts securing the ROPS to the deck wouldn’t line up. So, as a joke we told him to cut the heads off the bolts and araldite them over the holes.
The stupid bastard did it and a week later the customer was back at the work shop not being very happy as he soon discovered what the dickhead had done, going up a steep bank the whole ROPS flipped up backwards!!December 24, 2008 at 1:20 am #115857
AnonymousThis may explain why the brakes on the KLR are so crap. The bloke that we bought it off had it dripping with WD40. I’ve put metho on the discs to clean them up but to no avail, the brakes still suck bat. New set of pads after Xmas may solve the problem. December 24, 2008 at 11:38 am #115885all right it was me chop chop, its true i know stuff all about bikes, but when nigel said they will rust right up put wd on them, well we know the story no brakes, who’s a dickhead me, don’t worry i gave myself 45 uppercuts, told myself to wake up, smacked my arse ect, anyway good for a laugh, my brother used to do this stuff to me all the time he’s probably like most of u blokes pretty cluey, should have learned, ill have to post past knuckelhead stories to keep u happy, merry xmas enjoy your families, keep safe, great new year chops:ohmy: December 24, 2008 at 11:43 am #115893You are a good man chop and I am sorry for the stitch up, wasnt meant, enjoy the pee wee, give me a ring in the morning and tell me how she reacted! Merry Christmas Mate December 29, 2008 at 11:55 pm #115894 December 29, 2008 at 11:55 pm #115894
AnonymousOh Chop you are a classic man :p We all make some silly mistakes at some point or other. The good thing is that you learn from them. I’m sure you won’t do it again. TB bought an Honda years ago and still hasn’t learnt the error of his ways
