basicly when the chain derailed it locked up third gear and the driven gear, smashing out a couple of teeth. I removed the engine from the frame, the head and all the other bits and pieces.to keep labor down. it also had a weeping crank seal:dry: Hopefully will find out the cost soon.

January 24, 2009 at 12:06 am #119392Ollie the chain didnt derail as a result of the gearbox did it? The reason I ask is because after it happened on the saturday night I was googling crap and found a article on Gasser 300 3rd gear failures in Europe and the US, I have had a quick look for it and cant find it but I will

Dont know mate, very interesting though:dry: at the time I wasnt going hard, just working my way through the pack after being a cornerman,I went to overtake itsagas (GG450)around a sweeping left hander and she stopped instantly:( I thought it was just the chain but when we got going again you could hear that it was not good:ohmy:

AnonymousI guess it’s a lot of rego to be paying each year. Are you going to keep the WR for the longer rides or just flog it off? I appreciate selling bikes doesn’t appear to be your strong point
