What an awesome couple of days. We had 9 riders start on Friday and 7 on the Saturday, 5 of which were camped at ‘The Verge’.

I will do a full ride report later, just to say now though that we rode some exclellent trails, had lots of laughs and rode some really tiring trails lead by lotsa both days.

If you didn’t come you definately missed out!

Yes, going up Tunks in the first 3Km of riding on the first day probably wasn’t the wisest choice. Hauling 9 bikes up slippery rocks certainly got everyone’s blood flowing!

The first 45 minutes = 3Km’s from the cars

Looks like a good ride Moto. Would of liked to have been on it. Oh well will just have to wait for Ausberg.

That first section must be pretty hard core Moto, Seeing as though you madeit up Rutzilla unaided and you needed a hand to get up that shiney looking rock section. I could only imagine how slippery that would be in the wet!!!
Also a lesson learnt there for KLX riders, radiator braces are a must if the fuel tap can punch a hole in the radiator.

The first section of tunks had slippery rocks and was a bitch to get up as there is little to no run up for the slippery, andled, off camber rock ledges.

Every single one of us was off our bikes and had help to get up that. Going down was easy though and there were no logs Mudrat.

Rutzilla is a walk in the park compared to this. We had a few more tricky hills at the back end of day 2 as well. It had Holeshot 180 flipping the DRZ and Dan (Green450) hitting the wall physically. Even Matt (personal trainer and ex Australian Tirathlete) was rogered on the last section.

Everyone did well though and kept on going. We all got back alive, had a beer and laughed about it :)

The guys loved it, it was challenging (albeit Tunks was a struggle). You wouldn’t have liked those bits mate. The last couple of hills were do-able, and one or two did it without help, but they were definately slippery, rocky, long and non relenting. There was a fair bit of ‘downtime’ :P

Lotsa took us on some awesome trails though. I am heading out that again soon for sure :)

Looks like hard work fellas, first 3klms probably would have been the end of my day:laugh: I got left laying in agony beside the track last week when I had a ride and had to make a solo ride back to the car with my tail between my legs on stuff not as bad as that:blush:

well, it was an adventure, and i was shattered but after the cursing and making it up the hills after it all, gotta say it was pretty awesome. but i heard it isnt going to be so bad in orange with TB organising rides cause he doesnt much like the crazy shit that mat and moto are fiends for. anyway if the radiator isnt fixed, especially when i only have one day left to try and get it sorted, ill be paying the five hundred or so for the original, or running on one again…. lets hope its ready…
