Hi All,
I`m back, been up to Boony`s backyard (Nundle)
What an awsome place it is !!! Wasn`t able to take the bike:( but did the family camp thing for Easter.
I did manage to head up into the forests around Hanging Rock & Sheba Dams, where I met some Kato riders & an OLD BULL MEMBER :woohoo: We are everywhere thats for sure;)I grabbed a Topo Map of the area, checked out the “Peel Inn” (local pub) & there is also a sheep station “The Dag” that now has accommodation etc (like Louee) without the onsite trails though, there is too much forest around anyway.
My idea is to plan a trip from maybe Gloucester or somewhere up to Nundle, where Boont & vrew could hopefully show us round;)
:woohoo: Stay at the pub or Station,,, then trip home again ???? Somethin like that anyway, if there`s interest for the run,,,,,
I will post some pics later (non bike pics sadly) as I have just arrived home after an extra nights stay.
Cheers

April 14, 2009 at 8:52 am #129058being cautious my man thats all;)
could have a ball and say that it wouldnt have been a KTm or Honda on the trailer as those piles of crap dont have the power or grunt to make it up onto a trailer in the first place. and people only cart them in covered tralers so noone see that they own them, but no Im not going to do that, me a changed man.
April 14, 2009 at 8:54 am #129060eagle what was that 4×4 at the reception of the van park yesterday. i had fish and chips straight across the road at the cafe and seen it there

geez you only had to walk across the bloody road yesterday when you heard the DRZ and a KTM 250 pull up, that was me we had a road trip using all the dirt road from tamworth to nundle, we came into the forest on duncans creek rd
April 14, 2009 at 9:05 am #129027Damn it, I reckon I heard you leave the cafe, I was sitting at a van behind the tennis court (my in laws were camped there, 40m from the 4×4) I heard a bike, looked over through the trees & thought it might have been a copper on a banana:laugh:   Reckon it was you mate
SorryApril 14, 2009 at 9:10 am #129064yeh we headed out of town the oppersite way to the pub , that road actually heads back to tamworth and is a good dirt road, 70-80 KPH all the way, god there was people camped on that road.
April 14, 2009 at 9:16 am #129065boony, admin will get you if you keep wrecking posts with your photo:woohoo:  :woohoo:
April 14, 2009 at 9:18 am #129028Yep, It was you for sure, I thought it was a boy in blue, then saw the Kato,,,,,,,
I drove that road up to Chaffey Dam on Sunday arvo, saw the campsites you speak of, nice place.
I will be returning for sure, just need to work out how to get the bike there as well as the camper:unsure:The locals all tell me how popular the area is for bikes,,, the pub has cold beer & good food, so I`m hooked mate. The Easter Festival was ok too, a bit crowded on Sat & Sun but once the crowds died down we had a great relaxing break. That`s why I stayed an extra night & rang in work to say I`d be back a day late
That cost me about $400 in wages plus a Gold Mine Tour, morning tea at the Cafe before we departed:P
See ya up there soon
