    Hi All,

I have organised a ride with Rogerdoger and maybe a few others. old Al had to pull out due to his ankle injury (get well soon Al). I thought I might post the ride details here for those of you who may be interested in coming along.

    Date: Saturday May 16 2009.

The ride will be from Mt Sugarloaf lookout, down to Freeman’s servo via Killingsworth, lunch/fuel stop at Freemans, up the back way to Heaton Lookout (Wattagans) then returning to Sugarloaf via the Range Road. It is a good mix of single line and fire trails. Approx 90 km loop.

Grade 3. For those not comfortable with the rocky climbs there is an easy detour at each one (that’s the way I will be going).

Meeting place is the Mt Sugarloaf top picnic area, immed off the lookout car park. Bring some Aerogard.

Ready to ride 9:30 am. That should find us at Freemans servo for lunch. Should be back at Sugarloaf by 2ish.

I did a recce ride recently with a couple of Newcastle lads. Here is a 90 sec video of the ride:

yeh Moto, so often is the case with me – either I’m rostered on that w/e, or the wife has has already booked in that day on the social calendar. I will be doing the ride later on some time as two buddies of mine are also unavailable on the 16th.

Thanks for the compliment on the video – feel free to check out the other ride clips of mine on the same web site. Fellow Old Bull member Old Al is in two of them.

    Cheers

    Hi Jeffro,

Will be good to see an Old Bull there.

There are about 5 definites and a few fence-sitters. Should be enough for a good ride. Then again two are enough for a good ride!

Lets hope these coastal showers move on before Saturday.

I’ll be bringing the video camera so let me know prior to the ride which is your ‘good side’. ;)

    Cheers

You should have bought a low maintenance KTM. You would have had the time to Lochie’s project on Friday, go ride on Saturday and go work on Sunday

    Hi TB,

I just sent Jeffro a PM saying I should have called this the ‘Pulled Out’ ride. At the start of this week there were eight of us and now there appears to be only four standing, you will make it five. The last two casualties were Rogerdoger – rang this afternoon with a dose of Bali Belly, and a mate (Mick351) rang tonight crook with the flu as of this morning.

Blessed with perfect weather it will still be a good ride even if the numbers have dropped a few.

I will be parking my trailer at the top car park described earlier, near the large covered picnic table. One or two others live locally so will be riding up.

Will PM you my mobile and ask that you do the same.

For any ‘Hang-back-Harrys’ feel welcome to tag along.

    Cheers
