Talk to TB & DanD & OLLIE they all have cams & have used them a fair bit!!!
Wealth of knowledge there to pick info from;)May 11, 2009 at 7:22 am #133533I have a ATC-3K and and ATC-2K and both aren’t worth a knob of goats s*#t
I had a twenty to twenty was awesome but having my $1800 camcorder in my back back put me off, pity cause the sound and picture was great
I now use a GoPro which is very very good in my opinion, it has the biggest range of mounting options that come with it and is a wide angle lense, its water proof and can take still pictures and other features I cant be bothered checking out
It was purchased from Ballards. its not mine but its the one I would buy if I couldn’t use this one

May 11, 2009 at 7:36 am #133540I have the atc3k as well and its alright, not real high quality but not to bad,The positives are that it is self contained and that it can fit a 4GB SD card. The negatives are The picture quality is not great and the sound buffering pisses me off a bit. I also have a helcam pencil camera which is awesome picture quality and sound, but its recording device is a PMP(personal media player) with a TV in jack. The downside is you have to carry a separate battery pack and you have cables running from that to the camera and to the PMP as well as the separate microphone,so it can be a bit messy.its also only got a 1 GB SD card. The POV1 is the best I have seen as it is MIL spec (tough as) but again I think only a small memory card and its very expensive over $1000
I carry a small hand held camera, from Aldi $170 which I pull out for taking vids when near a tricky section like that hill climb at the Watto’s.
hope this helps

May 11, 2009 at 10:43 am #133548ok, ive checked out the GoPro.
firstly, its cheaper:) , but the resolution is lower. does it do better vids than the AT3K?
how do you mount it TB, as i dont think the lens can be adjusted to put it in the side of the helmet? do you top mount it or put it on your chest (between your man boobs:P )
it can be upgraded to take a 4gig card, with software upgrade.
but what about battery life, how does it compare.May 11, 2009 at 10:56 am #133630menace wrote:

Never had them really go flat, I also carry heaps of batteries now , problem is I forget to turn it of, I am happy with mine, you need to be happy with whatever you buyMay 12, 2009 at 4:53 am #133631
AnonymousFor the money and the video’s I’ve seen knowing what peopel use I’d get a GoPro too. Matey boy from works wants one and suggested a possible group buy?
Anyone want to take the reins and speak to someone about it? menace?
May 12, 2009 at 5:00 am #133703I can put you onto the bloke I got mine off. I paid $300 odd delivered and they’re usually $370 or so. I’ll dig it up now
May 12, 2009 at 5:06 am #133707I typically search high and low on the internerd when I buy stuff like this and that’s how I came across this guy.
