Day 2 of Zippo’s and Firk Nurkle’s, Wauchope adventure saw us load the bikes on the trailers and head up to KTMBULL’s place at Rollands Plains.
As soon as we arrived we kitted up and headed for the MX track for a warm up, only to have the ditch jump claim another victim straight away. Zippo managed to do 0.6 km from the cars before he found himself arse up in the ditch. Shaken but not stirred, he headed back to the cars to do some straightening of the mighty TM.
Once that was sorted, Bull lead the boys off for a 50km loop of some of the sweetest trails the lads had seen in quite sometime.
As I had Connor with me, he and I opted to do some loops through the bush on Bull and his neighbours properties. Between the 2 properties there is no shortage of trails that offer plenty of challenges, the first being a rather messy bog hole.
Here is Connor doing his best impersonation of Eagle.

We then found some logs that needed a bridge built, so we got to work and made a rickety construction that actually worked !!!

Then my exhaust decided to vomit some more packing

We found some cool creek crossings that Connor handled better than me, He just holds the KX pinned and hopes for the best, a technique that seems to work for him!!
This crossing was like riding across wet basket balls.

There are some really nice spots up at KTMBULL’s place

WE then met up with the other guys and headed back to the MX track for some more fun.

KTMBULL in action, Is that some plumber’s crack there Bull?

    Tripper on the CAT XR

Tripper finally got the courage up to jump the ditch. You could hear his whoops of joy from across the track.

Unfortunately Zippo and Firk Nurkle had to head back to Sydney, so we packed up at 1pm and sent them on their way. Thanks again Bull for the use of your property and for leading the lads on the loop.

I will admit, the highlight of the day for me would have to be, seeing the CAT XR emerge from the bush, still running sweetly, after last weeks top end rebuild I did.
All in all another great day out at Bulls.

Once we arrived home,we washed the bikes and had a Barbie ,we then loaded up Taylah’s new KTM Pro Senior and headed out to Moose’s place for some flat tracking until dark.
A great day out all round!!

Yeh mate I guess your right on that one I would still approach them and see what they say. You would probably be able to fix it easy enough, slice the end off with a thin blade, inspect repair ,then Tig it back up. If Time is not an issue I could do it for you mick.

Considering the use and subsequent abuse this pipe has had,Staintune have earnt their money ten fold. That pipe has gone through three owners.TB,Chicken and myself so you can imagine it has seen a fair bit of work. As far as fixing it,I will certainly keep your generous offer in mind Mate as Mick’s project XR is on the horizon.
