If anyone is thinking of the new Berg I honestly be able to say you wont regret it for a second it is by far the best bike ive ridden sorry Menace the KTM was good but you know??? It is really easy to ride gets up those rocky hills with ease and I dont think I would put a steering dampner on it as the front hasnt skipped out once. The power is there in any gear even if your not in the right gear. I can understand why the Berg 570 won the bike of the year.

    Good onya Gotchya
They do seem like a very nice ride and if it wasn’t for the fact that my next bike could very well be a 2 smoker, I would be perhaps tending towards the Berg. I may have swung Mal’s attention to two strokes as well. They are just so damn light:woohoo:
    Cheers mate

I am not surprised at this given the reports of those who have tried them, apparently they turn like a much smaller capacity andhave excellent handling.

On the two stroke front we will always welcome new brethren into the fold and those who have fallen from grace and sucuumed to the sirens alure of the valve cult we will always forgive you too our lost sheep.

Yeah have been known to have a trip or two Mr Menace, however I do like modern fourstrokes would jump at the opportunity to ride a new Hussy maybe with a slipper clutch it may be enough to get me wondering, rode a beautifully tuned and setup CRF450R a few months ago beautiful machine, but got back on the YZ and in staright line we were neck and neck until top (he had the legs) but in the bush I was like a fish outa water the engine braking and lack of absolute instant response from down low, oh sure they respond once the revs get up to 2K or so, but not me yet, luckily I like modern 2 strokes.

Rode my mates freshned ’06 300exc on Sunday on sharp knarly hillclimbs and the lug was an old friend I remember well, but no where as quick on the throttle as the YZ is, but refuses to flame out unless in deep sand.

Hey rocket, how did you find the low end? cause I rode one that was like an old ’86 RM250 or ’87-88 Cr250 on hypersteroids, real doughy but sorta luggy down low and then midrange comes along and …Hhhhhhhhoooooooooolllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyy cccccccccccow this thing is insane, and then up a gear and the same again, very old school power delivery with new age “ommph”
