have been looking for a new pair of boots and a new helmet for the past 6 months, had settled on the Fox V2/3 helemt and whatever comfortable boots I could get at the right price when the crappy old O’neals finally fell apart.
This arvo sitting on the front Porch sipping my green tea with the lovely Mrs C, my across the road neighbour comes over to shoot the breeze and casually mentions he’s helping move a mother and adult son back to Brisbane tonight for a cash in the hand job, and the Young bloke had a good looking pair of boots for sale and a helmet, as he just had a bike reposessed after job falling through. So at 6 this evening I follwed him to the residence and was introduced to the relocating family, and looked at the boots, Mmm MSR top of the line jobbies, yep size 11, my size in M/Cycles boots, worn once around the garage Mmm, soles unmarked, comfortable as hell…..how much mate? ……….. answer was $200.00 with the helmet, helmets never been worn and a brand new pair of googles thrown in, he started to tell me how good a deal it was and why i should buy them, didn’t let him finish didn’t even look at the helemt wasn’t overly worried about it at that stage. Gave him the money and said good luck, high fived me removalist mates and came home.
Showed the missus the boots she said see sometimes you do have luck and then removed the BRAND NEW FOX PILOT PRO from the box in wait for it MEDIUM exactly the size I tried in the shop and yes it is the most comfortable ehlmet I have ever worn, and inside the helmet is a brand new in the box pair of Oakleys….

to make matters even better I just inherited my daughter Thor race pants she outgrew, one race meeting old in matching colours no less. :cheer:
