I have for sometime be fiddling with a ride from somewhere like Wisemans Ferry to Gold Coast area. This will take 8 to 12 months to organise, we would pub, motel or maybe bush camp from the support vehicle (there would be a support vehicle cost being between $40 to $60 per person depending on numbers)
I have spoken with some people in the know in areas all throughout the route and it can be done over 5 to 7 days on a mixture of dirt roads, twin trails, definitely single trail at times and some great remote tracks through the top half of the trip. I am hoping we will have people meet and take us though certain sections so as not to miss a thing. I am lead to believe we can keep the bitumen under 250kms for the 1200km odd klms we would ride
I would arrange transport for the bikes back at a very small cost and we could do a overnight train trip or the likes back and have some beers, we could have our spouses meet us and do a couple of days back or fly if you’re short on time.
The Wauchope boys could join there and get of the train or whatever on the way back etc
Numbers would have to be limited of course, no dates am just wondering if there is any interest
You will require a 200km+ fuel range 250kms would be the aim meaning bigger than standard fuel tanks or bum tanks
I will ride my XR for this ride not my NX as there will be areas where the NX wont go and only hold people up.
