I mentioned in my drowned bike thread that my workspace was extremely limited at the moment and remembered to snap a pic last night.
I moved up here a few months back and temporarily shacked up with the in-laws and have stuffed around looking at places to buy until I finally spat it and said I need out. Here’s part of the reason why:

You can see the old oil on the left there and that’s a wheel barrow against the far wall so I can’t keep the bike in there straight without removing it and putting it back every time.
Dropping the oil etc is a piece of piss so its not a problem now but to get the water all out I had to drop the back shock out to get the exhaust off while I shoved the fuel tank up on top of my gear bag on a shelf to the left.
Oh and that bucket with an express post satchel on it is my work seat
June 5, 2009 at 3:46 am #138314Yes I can see your problem.
June 5, 2009 at 3:51 am #138319wheres the beer fridge?
Ollie
June 5, 2009 at 3:56 am #138321THere must be a dunny in there somewhere,I can see a roll of poo tickets.
June 5, 2009 at 4:02 am #138323Mate that slab gets so cold I put a six pack of cold beer down and a six pack of shelf beer and by time I’m on the second sixxer its ready to drink!
poo tickets are there to “catch any stray oil” which isn’t working too well. I don’t have enough rags and ran out of paper towel

I HAVE NO SHAME!

AnonymousYes that certainly isn’t the ideal working conditions. I’ll give you another karma for even attempting it in that small of a work area!
June 5, 2009 at 4:19 am #138327Anyone wanna come over and by my TA? I reckon all you’d manage to do would be to stand outside and drink my beer haha

>>>Edit, i think i worked it out= Your Technical Assistant. <<<<<
i reckon we all have a whip around and donate 2 sheets of iron and a couple of metres of C section each and AB could start the two story extension for the beer fridge  :woohoo:  :woohoo:
thumbs up for persevering with the work conditions!
June 5, 2009 at 5:01 am #138334haha yeah ta is trade assistant

Cheers for the karma/commiserations guys
June 5, 2009 at 5:11 am #138335I`m slipping, you ride a KATO and I gave you a karma .. The karma is for the work you have put into removing the moisture from the Kato and for doing that work in that small area.Thats dedication to riding. And for keeping us posted on where your up to with it all, good work Blue.

I would have left the Kato in the river:woohoo:
June 5, 2009 at 5:31 am #138315yeah but if you were riding, well attempting to ride a kato.
it would have left you in the river, shaken it’s self off and kept on it’s merry way:laugh:      :blink:
June 5, 2009 at 5:40 am #138342Boony you wouldn’t have really left the Kato in the river would you? Old bulls being enviromentally friendly would have had to pull it out at least so the EPA don’t nab you for water pollution and illegal dumping of rubbish.
June 5, 2009 at 5:51 am #138344OUCH! I spoke to a bloke up the pines and he said that puddle was half that size in the morning but a bunch of jap bike riders pulled up along side of it for a chat and between all the dribble from their mouths and bikes it was filled!
June 5, 2009 at 6:00 am #138346You must realise that some of the bike shops I have been to in Japan would have three mechanics working on bikes in the same sized space and also have a fabrication shop operating out of the back.
June 5, 2009 at 6:36 am #138348its not the size that counts AB, its what you do with it!!
your obvoisly not a fat fella like me….i wouldnt fit in there!
