Well not really an adventure but a quick blat up the Watties while the little D’s were getting a dose of book learning.

Dropped the little ones off at school, a quick trip over to Inskips to get a new battery for the 450 and off to the Watties. Parked at Matinsville tennis courts (Kylie washed her car yesterday so she didn’t want to get it all dusty) Rode up the hill and into it. Mostly stayed around the Muirs Lookout single trail, tight but very enjoyable.

Only covered about 30km with a few turn arounds due to tracks just running out. Kylie decided it was time for a mud pack at one stage and had a little lay down in the mud:laugh:

We are both very happy with our choice of bikes and have made a pact that we won’t be changing bikes for a while (finally)

I have never seen Kylie so happy with a bike – the WRR seems to fit the bill nicely for her. She had a go on the 450 but likes hers better – softer seat and all.

We stopped at Onley head quarters for our lunch Mars bar, KitKat and Coke but then it was time to go back to the car:( single trailled back to the car and then home.

Good rides always seem to end so quickly – this was one of them.

It’s our annerversary next Sunday so we are going to go for an all dayer to celabrate 12 years of married bliss:huh:

    :) :) :)

Thankyou Jeffro you did do well.

Kylie is very easily convinced about things when someone other than me suggests them.

BTW someone tell her she needs proper boots not stupid road boots. With custom electrical tape to hold them together.

All right, it looks like I need to clear a few things up.

    1. Yes I did have a lay down in the mud but that was after I got through all the yucky mud then hit a root at the top of the track only to roll back down into the mud that I had actually successfully got through before. Funnily enough I didn’t mind too much because I had gotten so hot (it was real tight single trail) that I enjoyed the coolness of the wet mud.

    2. Yes I really enjoyed the single trail around Muirs lookout. So much so that after lunch (kitkat and coke) I asked DanD if we could go back and do it again.

    3. No I am not very happy with the WR. I am extremely happy with the WR. It’s a great bike and I had a heap of fun on it. I can’t believe how easily it is to mono up logs and rocks. Wow!

    4. No I don’t like the 450’s seat. It feels like you are sitting on slab of rock. Also I treated it very kind because DanD had warned me about how easy it was to pop it up onto the back wheel and I wasn’t sure how I would handle that. Probably terribly to tell you the truth.

    5. No lunch wasn’t very satisfying but with limited ride time what can you do?

    6. Marrital bliss – is that what you call it?

    7. Thanks for the commiserations TB. I need them and deserve them. :P

    8. DanD is only giving you half the story about me chasing him. 1st time round when I wasn’t available he showed interest in me and was like a mongrel dog on heat. 2nd time round (when I was available) I simply felt sorry for the poor mutt and made sure he knew I was now available. Oh hang on, just kidding, Daniel, love of my life.

    9. My road boots are fine until someone designs motocross boots that flex easily (near the toes not around the ankle of course), don’t cost a fortune and are designed for girls too. Plus they save me considering I need boots for the road as well as the bush. And they have lasted me over 2 years. Bet DanD can’t say that.

    10. Yes, DanD is right. Unfortunately no one else would put up with me. Especially considering how many bikes I go through and even I know that I am a pain in the arse.

I need to add just one more thing.

We both really enjoyed our day in the Watagans. We’re very lucky that we get along really well and actually enjoy each others company. And although DanD has to wait up for me a lot he didn’t get cranky with me once.

Thanks Daniel for a great day. But it needs to be longer next time. Sound familiar?
