    OB`s,
the following photos are the result of loss of control of a sport bike at approx 260km/h,on old pacific highway.
a couple are not pleasent-you have been warned.
I`m not a gore seeker, but I think its important to show AND DISCUSS this with any teenage bike riders in the family. Its not only thier death but also the greif and anguish of the affected family, fellow riders and friends that must be considered. We`ve all heard the stories of ratbags on the old pacific highway, putty road and alikes. Its great fun ,but being in a car and having 3-4 bikes abreast come around a blind corner towards you is not fun .
Being trailriders, we generally dont see these speeds, but being bikeriders and parents of bike riders it is worrying.
Consider these images and use them as an education tool, hopefully may cause a loved one to consider their action next time on the road.

To any one who knew this individual I`m sorry, but hope you can see the point Im trying to raise.

yeah,i think some people do., Its not about hazards its about riding attitude, and people need to realise that actions beyond whats reasonable have consequences ,sometimes tragic.Your attitude might be different if I told you that a car coming the other way lost control trying to avoid this bike and crashed off the road.Thats not true but this is the story in other incidents.

To those who want to use photos PM me and Ill email them to you.

Thanx for the photo’s Morgo, I have a guy at work who needs to see these because he rides like a moron and thinks that he is the new Steve Austin and he can just be rebuilt. You don’t come back from an accident like that. I feel for the Ambos and cops that had to clean up that mess.

I’ve asked for a copy of the pics to send to someone I think may benefit.

    i got the tame version.

i agree with Morgo though, Some really do need to see what can happen.

i think that anyone caught speeding at stupid speeds in stupid places should be sat down with an album of all the failures.

but there sometimes is a time and place,

but good on you for thinking of the next generation of riders;)

    Why not?

It’s my long held opinion that things like this should be shown to young road users as a compulsory part of their driver education.

I also think that serious traffic offenders ought to be forced to attend incidents like these and assist as well as observe the effects upon the families and emergency workers.

It’s only my opinion and I never expect it to come to fruition…our society is becomng softer by the day…

Somebody please shoot me if I start mentioning the war!!!

I agree with your point of view, I also believe that you shouldnt be able to ride a road bike until your old enough mentally, how you police that I dont know but the whole licence thing is wrong. I note that when doing your “L’s” they dont teach you the ride they teach you to pass the test

Shane try loosing a family member and see how you feel when you see a bike smash, My Benjamin will never be back, He was only 20, its been 12 months and I can tell you it dont get easier, Mate I agree with both points of view, but have some compassion for fresh wounds, they happen every day:( :(

When I did my riding course in Newcastle the guys there were excellent, I had absolutely NO IDEA (and still don`t  )
But , I learnt a lot from them & felt that I would be happy to go back annually if need be for a refresher.
One of the guys I think was a paramedic in his previous job & was sick & tired of picking up after these type of incidents (can`t blame him for that)

There were two guys on my course that had been riding bikes for 30 years together, never had a licence before & they both were full of praise toward the instructors for teaching them stuff they had never even thought of before, let alone been shown!!!!

I see young dudes every day on big bore bikes (and cars for that matter) doin stupid shit,,,,,
And it endangers everyone around them, not just themselves:angry:
