cjgoldman – kato450,vman – husky 450,blackzippo – tm450 & Furknurkle – kato 525 all headed off into the glorious batemans bay area last saturday.the pack was smaller than 1st planned(missed your mob hatto!!) but none the less still keen as.
after meeting at cj’s, we fueled up and headed to maloney’s beach cafe for b&e rolls, then off into some easy stuff, easy!!? 5 mins in i had my 1st offy, to much front brake on a gravel left(cant get rid of that roadbike syndrome it seems) maybe it was blackzippo’s helmet camera that had me fired up!>
we then crossed the hghwy onto the more challenging single trail for a few hours (getting very chopped up these days, pity the 6days boyz) and made our way to the east lynne servo for some much needed pies and pints.
after we all fueled up again it was back south again along the infamous 2nd power lines, not a bit of flat ground exits in them, all the guys made it through unscared, i myself started to feel the pinch after getting up at 3am that morn to make the ride (NEVER AGAIN). then it was back onto some very fast single trail, across the hghwy , more very fast single, and back to cj’s for a wel earned rest,
blackzippo and Furknurkle zipped into town for a wash and headed back for a BBQ and yarn//beers.
sunday was planned to travel to yowel (near nowra) i pulled the pin as was seriously drained from the previous 3am start and had a niggling pain in my shoulder, by all reports the sunday was much better with, dave vlackic, benny & glen joining the 3 left for a great ride, including a whole hour spent trying to man handle their bikes up a 100m trail that was the only way back to the cars, i only have photos of the sat, maybe blackzippo and cj can supply some of the sunday, anyway all up a great weekend, now i have more handle on what needs to be done and a better handle of the way around (much thnx cj) ill get another one sorted for late october.
p.s full marks to blackzippo and Furknurkle for the w/end, top notch guys, always ready to help, full of beans sorta lads, be happy to have you guys on a ride anytime anywhere, salt of the earth is the best words to describe em both.

Chris.July 9, 2009 at 11:50 am #142784it was so good, the film footage came out tops, and the TM ran sweet as, except for the lekky start which works when it feels like, my new steering damper is great, enyways good bunch of blokes there and I do hope to get another invite down there to ride,, yeah the second day was also amazing terrain through rainforest type stuff with huge granite boulders and tall palm trees,, quite a sight, must have dropped the bike about a six times before I realised that I had to turn the steering damper off lol,, after a short break at the car around about 3pm Desi went off for a quick blatt for an hour with 2 of the blokes, I had had enuff,,, over 2 hours later they got back knackered and sweat soaked, seems they went down a long steep one and discovered that the only way out was back up it,, took them over an hour and a bit to do 100metres pulling and pushing,, des reckoned he was just about to leave the bike hidden in the bush and come back next week for it as it was getting dark by then,, he wants to try it out again next time we do a nowra ride,,I think I’ll wait at the top lol,, enyways thanx again Vman and CJ was a top ride,,, Zippo
