They look to very trick indeed, nice touch with the Titanium D Rings & screws etc (although I don`t see that that much weight can be a big issue)Then again, Who am I to argue:S

July 10, 2009 at 11:00 am #143033Hi Adrian,
I got a V3 helmet last year, they are good. I used to work at a local dealer and over the years tried on different helmets and found the fox to be very comfortable ( the price is not the best ), but you get what you pay for.:cheer:July 10, 2009 at 11:15 am #143037Thanks gob,ive tried them on and find them to be a bit tight in the jaw/chin area.maybe my melon is a bit to big.the bloke in the shop sized me as a L but i felt more comfie in the XL.
July 10, 2009 at 1:07 pm #143042I got mine for $350 with the carry bag and I find it very comfortable and light. There’s no doubt they’re a good helmet so I think if it fits good you can’t go wrong especially if you’re getting it on special.

Rememebr that with any helmet they will ‘bed in’ after a bit of use and feel less tight. My helemt has bed in quite a lot and is now loose on my head

My one industries is 1.6kg was thinking 400g less around the neck has gotta be a big improvement.

I have two US purchased helmets and have had some problems when racing because of the Australian compliance issues, the law states if its DOT approved it is ok but that hasn’t always worked for me. BTW DOT exceeds the AS compliance so it shouldn’t be an issue but can be go figureKTMRAT would be the best person here on the site to answer as he is a scrutineer
I read that you had purchased the helmet overseas but didnt think you raced so didnt think it was worth raining on your excitement of a new helmet..
So enjoy
Rat can you clear up the DOT V AS issue
TB
July 24, 2009 at 10:45 pm #145145Thanks TB, i did do some research after the seller told me there could be an issue. But since i dont race and the only time i will be on the road is when linking from tracks i thought its a risk im willing to take.
