    Hey guys, I still haven’t replaced my brother’s gear lever yet and I noticed that I can get an MSR or ballards (not sure on brand) both forged aluminium for $50 and $45 respectively. Is the MSR lever any good? I know its bugger all difference but I’m not into wasting money on name brands for the sake of it.

    with gear levers i always go steel folders, can be bent back into shape, alloy snaps

    That’s why I’m buying a new one! Problem is I can’t find any info on either of them!

    try Scottys online, they have a forged alloy for 37.50

    Still doesn’t say if its a steel tip! I’ll give them a call I suppose its just a pita because I work in an open office :( /poorme
