    Just on the TV across the bottom of the screen tsunami warning for Tasmania and Lord Howe Island, seal rocks and NSW coastline?

    Earthquake of 7.6 somewhere off NZ.

    TSUNAMI THREAT TO THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT

    SUMMARY:

    Tsunami warning for the marine environment for parts of NEW SOUTH WALES.

    Threatened areas extend from Gabo Island to Seal Rocks including Batemans Bay,
    Bellambi, Botany Bay, Gabo Island, Jervis Bay, Kiama, Merimbula, Montague
    Island, Moruya, Moruya Heads, Narooma, Nelson Bay, Norah Head, Shell Harbour,
    Sydney Harbour, Ulladulla and Wollongong.

    Possibility of DANGEROUS WAVES, STRONG OCEAN CURRENTS AND SOME LOCALISED
    OVERFLOW ONTO THE IMMEDIATE FORESHORE for several hours from 09:45 pm (EST)
    Wednesday.

    I had the missus put a rolled up towel against the front door, told her there was a bit of a storm coming…she hadn’t sen the news.

    I got a smack afterwards:laugh:

    we had another tsunami warning about 2 or 3 years ago and i went to go to a local chicken shop for some lunch and it was shut up with a sign on the door saying “closed due to tsunami warning”. i found it kinda funny considering that tsunami had the same outcome as this one.
