I was just driving around town when i seen 2 motorcycle Police with a car pulled over each. They were riding blue Transalps. Something i have never seen before and the tyres were (forgive my naitivity) semi knobbies, so they were obviously doing a bit of bush patrol as well.
Has anyone else seen this before?
July 27, 2009 at 7:07 am #145375No.
But the guvmint is buying strange vehicles for the plods these days
so I wouldn’t be surprised.
July 27, 2009 at 8:15 am #145404I hear some of the cops in melbourne are riding DRZ’S:ohmy: They must not want to catch anyone:laugh:
July 27, 2009 at 8:24 am #145410Most police trail bikes are DRZ’s. Why would they be stupid enough to spend an extra $4000 on something else that does the same job.

So they keep telling me. Funny thing is I ride the same trails at the same pace and turn up at the same locations as everybody else. Must just be my riding talent, or everyone elses lack off.
July 27, 2009 at 8:40 am #145417They mostly use 530 Katos here in mexico and the wollopers have the attitude to match thier bikes.
July 27, 2009 at 8:40 am #145418plus if they cant keep up they just shoot em in the head i dont think my helmet is bullet proof?????

July 27, 2009 at 8:57 am #145422See them most weekends passing my place on their new Katos. They go dowm trying to catch the kids riding in an area that I used to ride in my younger days. The kids usually stop by if I’m out the front and ask if their in the area and ride off in the other direction if they are.

X2 Scotty. Could not agree more.
Probably not the same pace but thats only because of my riding ability. Not the bikes fault.
FYI adrians new bike comes with a vercro seat and roll cage.

July 27, 2009 at 11:16 am #145427Nothing wrong with a banana, blokes! In the hands of a capable rider they are a secret weapon! I would even say they are THE most underrated trailbike out there at the moment, with a TTR250 a close second.
Have yet to see PC Plod on the trails (riding anyway) at all, but rangers make a regular appearance.
July 27, 2009 at 11:28 am #145452There are three different commands in this part of town that have different brands. One’s running XR’s (yes, still!), another has bananas and yet another has the green machines (which they say are the duck’s guts).
