Today our work got to go on an excursion to the Yamaha warehouse, where all the bikes and boat motors along with their parts come in before being distributed.

We were entertained by Paul and Carl who were entirely nice blokes, so nice in fact I would mind working in the private sector!!! Even gave us pizzas for lunch.

Anyway, I grabbed some quick pics and even had the opportunity to drool over the 2010 YZ250 and 450 (which I thought would be rude to take pitchers of…) and saw the biggest utboard motor I ever saw!!!

Hopefully I can drive the internets and pitchers will follow…

if you watched a fishing show on the weekend called hook, line and sinker, they just finished doing up an old boat called “Beast” and its got one of these 350s on it. You can hardly hear it when idling but it sounds mean when he took off, like a proper V8.

Must have been interesting Shane. The R1 looks awesome, shame they insist on putting number plate/blinker holders on them so big they could eclipse the sun. It’s gotta up the power/weight ratio by about 20% if you take it off :P

That is a big looking outboard too!
