Does anyone know where to buy rear wheel bearings to suit the YZ/WR series yamahas? they are two of differing sizes codes are 60/22rs and 62/22RS, I am point blank refusing to pay what the local yamaha dealer quoted me for two plain bearing with double seals, last ones I got for a KTM where 12.50 each, and that’s a KTM, these bearings from what I can gather fit all YZs/WRs from around 2000 to now, so one would think there is an alternative supply in Aust somewhere.

Alternatively there’s some listed on ebay in the states in job lots of 6-10 bearings, i s’pose if a two of us bought one batch of each size we could swap half the loot each, they work out to about $6 each that way.

I had to clean & repack a clunky one late tonight so i can ride sunday

sks bearings or your local bearing outlet,,cause thats probably where you dealer gets them ,,,just take the old bearing in and bobs your uncle,,,at a fraction of the cost,,, front bearings for the IT 250 1982 model for example.

    Yamaha dealer =$33.00

Bearing outlet in town =$ 8.00 a bearing you do the sums….good luck

Local bearing shop should have bearings and seals, take your originals in for them to match should be a 3rd of the price of yammy ones. Hornsby Bearings do them in Waitara.

Thanks Fellas but my Local bearing shops can’t help with these ones as they are unusal sizes unlike most other bikes which use standard sizings, the front ones are availiable, but the rear ones are very specialised.

I’ve usuall got all my wheel bearings from either work (engineers get them for me, or through the local bearing suppliers, I had a fleeting moment when I thought “hey I might try ceramic balls this time” but seeing as it’s hard enough to get plain 4 pt contact I reckon I’ll have buckleys of ceramic in the right sizing.

Chris that sounds like a plan in the making if you don’t get the Hussie…. B)

Ok fellas I’m calling off the hounds, a riding mate with a WR450 has put me onto a specialist supplier in Brisbane (fellow motorcyclist) who can do complete kits 4x bearing, 4 x outer seals for $40 which lets just say is around 25% of what my friendly local yamaha money printer wants for them.
Thanks again you old wise blokes
