Well Dan and I decided maybe we should do some pre running for next weeks Dr Jurd ride as with 30 riders it will be the biggest ride here on the OBT forum since it started

We rode the morning with Old Al’s ride and left the guys at the lunch stop, we rode up to the Watagans and got onto some single line at the Cessnock end, wasnt rutted and was real nice it went for about 4 – 6kms before we jumped back on the fire trail and up to Heaton Lookout turn of, we ran across to Freemans waterhole.
This section to freemans has some large very wet and muddy sections/ bog holes, we are going through there next weekend, so be aware its there and its muddy and its wet :P

We left Chicken to head home from Freemans and we pre ran a couple of different options back to Dan’s place, had some beers bench raced, Kylie ran down and grabbed a carton of beer, we did air filters and chains etc Dan had got all the riding gear and it was in the wash so clean gear the next morning, cheers for that mate ;)

Dan under cooked Kylie’s potato bake, we had a gun feed just the same (Kylie is the hostess with mostness :) )
Dan and Boulder got busy in the kitchen after dinner

And when Kylie came home she ran down the road and picked up a couple of streets Vienetta logs

We watched Dust to Glory, how good was that boys and Kylie ;)

This morning we got back out after breakfast and checked out some different options for the run to Freemans, there are some interesting sections for next Sunday now.

We came across some of those 4×4 drive wankers out ripping big bog holes in the forest with his jacked up car and his wanker 4×4 drive club sticker on the windscreen generally just doing damage for the sake of what I will never know, I rode along the side of the 4×4 and turned in behind it only 2 feet or so heading for the left side where the wanker hadnt just been, I was in first gear and the front of the bike just disappeared, I cart wheeled over the bars into the shallow side of the puddle and straight onto my bad shoulder. I was quickly up and the guy in the 4×4, just looked in his mirror and then drove of

The boys helped me get the bike out and we rode through to the Oak for a drink

Some footage of where we will be going from the hemet cams

More to follow when they finish loading

We also checked out some other sections but felt that they had been over ridden already and maybe didnt need another 30 bikes through there

Next weeks ride will be super good people. Thankyou to TB and Boulder for the great company and for the for the riding this weekend in preperation for our epic ride. As I said you blokes are always welcome at my place.

Kylie and me are going to re pre ride tomorrow and are going to check the depth of puddles and mud so no one ends up in the shit (too much:laugh: )

TB, Boulder and myself have prepared a route that has a bit of everything so everyone should have a good ride and if you don’t, well too bad and I look forward to the ride that you organise.

But I am sure everyone is going have a good one.:)

Hey TB ol crazy eyes is looking everywhere for you, he is missing his new bestest mate:)

I arrived at the D’s just in time for breakfast. Dan was making TB peanut butter and jelly toast and then cut it into nice little bite sized triangles and served it up on a pink fairy plate!! TB complained that the peanut butter was not chunky and Dan promised to get some in for next time. It was about this time that I realised that I was in the company of tuff dirt bike riders and this was going to be a big weekend.
Chicken arrived not long after and we headed off to meet old Al and rode with them until lunchtime on some top trails. After lunch TB, Dan, Chicken and myself went to ride some trails that TB and Dan will be using for the Jurds ride. If your coming on this ride your in for a treat! :woohoo: We got back to D’s about 4.30 and had a couple of beers before Dan cooked us a great dinner that Kylie had prepared earlier and it was very tasty. Best potato bake I have had
in years. After dinner TB put on the Dust to Glory CD and we overdosed on high speed action before hitting the sack.
Next morning, brekky and then off to pre ride some more trails. TB and Dan have put a lot of work into this route with lots of different options depending on how the day works out.
Thanks to TB and Dan for having me along I really enjoyed the trails and cant wait for next weekend. Big thanks to the D’s for there hospitality. See you on the Jurds ride.:woohoo:

I can’t tell you how upset I am about the potato bake unpleasantness. I am very proud of my potato bake and to find out that DANIEL (yes shouting) didn’t cook it long enough is a travesty!

I even wrote out instructions about how long to cook it for and how to tell if it was actually cooked.

    Not happy Dan

BTW me and the girls went to watch an ice hockey game (hence why I didn’t put the potato bake in the oven) and it was absolutely awesome. My throat is sore today from all the yelling and it was just so exciting. I know nothing about ice hockey but I did know that one team had to get the puck down the goals at the other end but jeez they made it interesting. I lost count of how many punches got thrown on the ice.

P.S. Dan – next time (which there won’t be a next time because I can’t risk you tarnishing my reputation again, sound familar TB with the sign on debarcle) when you check if the potatoes are cooked make sure you put the knife in the potates. Not in the space between the potatoes to the bottom of the dish

Also, just before this thread gets back on track, the limp lettuce comment was good as gold.

I’m done like a kipper now.

Sorry Boulder but I couldn’t help myself.
