I will let everyone in on a secret. Yamaha Australia contacted me this week and asked if I was keen to test the capabilities of the Scorpio. The conditions were that it had to be piloted by a Honda rider and pillioned by a Yamaha lover.
The other conditions were that it was to remain a top secret mission and the test track was to be done at maximum speed. The test was for frame rigidity, valve and engine stress, maximum speed with maximum onboard load. The test that it failed on was the rev limiter test, we didn’t have long enough for it actually get there:laugh:
The mighty Scorpio passed the test with flying colours so if you buy this bike you will be buying a piece of Yamaha testing history.
And a bike that gave two riders maximum laughs and a whole lot of fun.
