AnonymousI stopped at hour ago to get some more oil for my bike and look for another set of gloves, maybe even a spare set of goggles since Sam ate my last spare pair.
I walked out with a air filter, oil filter and a new Troy Lee helmet
I got a good deal on the top of the line ’09’ Troy Lee helmet so made a snap purchase (there have been a few of those recently!).
It fits real nice and I like the way the liner removes, much better than my current One Industries helmet. The good thing is now I have a spare helmet for when I have guests to come and play on the smoker and also I don’t have to wear the helmet I had a ‘reasonable’ crash in
August 21, 2009 at 2:42 am #149324did the new splat hat come with goggles or do you still need a spare set to replace the ones sam ate,,,remmeber original reason for the visit..lol

AnonymousDon’t you just hate that – all those nice goodies that are out screaming “buy me” when you walk into a bike shop.
I take it Sam is still enjoying eating your stuff Moto

AnonymousSam hasn’t eaten anything of note in ages, my spare goggles were however one of his first victims when he was explaining to me that he din’t like sleeping in the garage
I still need some spare goggles, I need them so my old man can borrow them when he comes out too so unfortunately it does mean another trip back!
I was also told that the new Berg comes in exactly the same colour as this years model and that the black decals are a kit that you have to buy
They have also gone up by 4% too, making the 570 $15,500 on the road! That’s a good chunk of cash for a dirtbike.

August 21, 2009 at 3:01 am #149334Yeah his new helmet display is a killer! They keep promising me a ride day with the berg but nothing yet
August 21, 2009 at 3:09 am #149338
AnonymousHe offered me a ride of it a while ago but I declined. If I swing a leg over one I’ll end up with 2 bikes in the garage
I was just browsing the new helmets and this one caught my eye, when I saw the $600 price tag I baulked just at the time he came over to see what i was doing. He said he’d do me a deal and I though he’ll take 10% off or something, I joked and said if he does a real keen deal I’ll take it and I’ll think about a Berg next year. He cam up with $440 so I took it off him, I was pretty happy with that

Anonymoustld helmets are light, breezy and fit my mug like a glove. bit like not wearing a helmet. unfortunatly because they are bit like not wearing a helmet they are also noisey. i suggest that you to wear ear plugs when you are on the 4t

AnonymousWill see how it goes. It doesn’t feel any lighter than my other helmet, in fact, now I’ve gotten over my impulse buy it’s hard to see why I paid so much for a helmet
August 21, 2009 at 11:00 am #149326I`m happy enough with my RXT helmet, let alone spendin that sort of $$$
I understand the impulse buying crap though:huh: We all love it:laugh:
August 21, 2009 at 12:00 pm #149442I dunno Moto, it sounds like a good price for a good qualiy helmet to me. I usually try to keep my budget for a helmet under $400 but I go more on the fit than the price.
We have had a dealer close in Dubbo lately (Suzuki) – went under. I usually tend to buy online lately because most of the shops I go in to lately have a pretty small range on the floor and are hopeless at ordering stuff in. You should count your lucky stars you have a good dealer close to you!
You city folk dunno how good ya got it!
