    Go BMW!

Looking at the pro results they were almost all KTM’s or Husaberg’s. Interesting to see that most KTM were smaller bikes and most Berg’s were 570’s. Go figure :)

It will be interesting to see how Knighter goes next weekend in the WEC, if he can ride the green machine any better than the BMW?

I reckon he’ll go alright. Didn’t he leave and pretty much sort this ride out by himself? If so it’s interesting he chose Kawasaki.

I don’t know the whole story it happened when I was away but I thought he left beacuse he couldn’t get on with BMW and they wouldn’t change the bike for him. He left to go private riding a Kwaka….no?

Private Kawasaki, does Santa still bring ya presents :P , there was rumours around about him leaving after the 2nd round of the championship when he had the public melt down, in the states he was rumoured to be talking to Kawasaki, Honda and another that my memory fails me before the split became public only days before but before

I said it elsewhere I’ll state my opinion here,

I for one minute do not believe David Knight had to pull a privateer bike together, has anyone else seen the specs and photos of the KX450F he rode, WP suspension, Hinett Clutch advance fuel system, trick everything.. “Oh look someone left this totally tricked up competitive mega-buck race bike lying round, and wadda ya know it has my favourite suspension and it’s all dialled in for my massive frame too, guess if no-one else wants to use it I’ll borrow it for a race or two”. And that race happens to be the toughest race in the series, slap bang in the middle of the worlds most affluent bike buying public, who all love a good underdog story, and Kawasakis sales of KX/KLXs have been lagging somewhat, all co-incidence? I think not

Yeah right he’s been in talks with the green factory before he left BMVV.

And from Kawasakis Point of View “Oh look here’s a discarded current world champion enduro rider left lying about, and no-one wants him, poor bugger… oh well guess we could throw him a few baubles to help him back onto his feet” .

I for one think he would be competitive with a wheel barrow after all look what he won on a Kato :P

Romania looks tops,if they let you spray paint arrows on the road and ride in buildings looks like agood place to ride. The bush looks nice to, the canal jump was impressive.

Heard of the sister event OLD BULL RUMANIACS……..

So what is the deal then? Bruce’s post just sounds like speculation. Is he riding as a privateer or not? Even if people think that’s not the case.

He did the one round as a “Privateer” on a factory bike is the crutch of it, I would say there may have been some back ground issues before another job / paid ride became public knowledge (legal)

These boys at that level never race “privateer” current and former world champions at the top of their game can snap fingers and national distributors will trip over themselves in the rush to bring them into “the fold” of whichever colour they represent, thus creating a temporary illusion of “going it alone” and drumming up fan support…Moto your countryman Carl Fogarty was amaster at this illusion.

Carl Fogarty, he was awesome to watch, I used to be glued to the TV when he was racing. Your countryman Mick Doohan was another good one :)

I remember reading that Knight now has professional Kawa backing from some of their super bike team.
Not sure if they are Kawa factory people or not but I think he will be hard to beat.

Then again, he will have to race against the BMWs :cheer:

I think we can all agree that whatever he rides he will be hard to beat :)
