I must say Pacific Park is looking far better than it has ever before.
The road in is in good cond and what used to be the worst steepest part is now the best and a dual carriage way.
The Marchants have really transformed the place in the 15 or so years they’ve owned it, it was quite run down but not any more.

The Trials action was very good but spread over a large area of about 25 acres of padocks bordered by the rocky hills, making it an excellent venue for both competitors and spectators.

Gotta love trials, so intense, so vertical, so daunting, so much skill on display.

Any Lycra body suits? up here there’s a bloke 60 in the shade who wears a lycra body suit when competing, I think it’s a ploy to get the observers to look away.

Yeah, there were a couple of Lycra suits being sported:laugh:
Most with Gas Gas or Shaerco plastered all over them,,,

I got the biggest laugh from the old school guys wearing the Khaki Bib & Brace overalls:P I think they were in the Grey Beards category!!!

Some nice old Bultacos, BSA`a & yammies there too:woohoo:

My vids won`t be too far off now;)

Forgot to mention that the guy seen rollin` to the bottom of this rock hill holding his arm is actually the observer,,, NOT THE RIDER
He grabbed his mates bike when he got stuck at the top & was flung down head first over his mate , then the bike cartwheeled down on top of him collecting his arm!!!
    OUCH OUCH OUCH

This was where TB decided that Trials was not on his agenda for 2010

Nice vids and pics guys, it looked like a great day. I was thinking about it Saturday arvo’ but had too many beers and couldn’t be arsed with the driving.

I’ll have to try and get to one of the rounds when there in town again as it’s great to watch. The guys are very skillful :)

    So why the lycra suits?
to my way of thinking if there was ever a sport that had absolutely no need for aerodynamic enhancements it’s trials, are they just exhibitionists and like to get the lycra out in public?

They are light and easy to move in, aerodynamics has nothing to do with it :) Exhibitionism may also be a large part :P

Some of the female entrants also wore Lycra….;) and my mate lent over to me and said while Lycra seemed to be the go, sports bras were optional… I’ll leave it at that.

Great day though. Can’t get my head around the sidecar trials bikes.

I have some vids on the way.
