After months of hard work preparing trails, the Dungog Motorcycle Club, in conjunction with Forests NSW and Motorcycling NSW, is delighted to present the ‘Dungog Two Day Enduro’ race which will take place this weekend.

The Dungog Two Day Enduro will be the final round in the NSW Enduro Series and promises to host an impressive field of club, State and National level riders.

The event consists of a series of timed tests, with liaisons in between.

Setting off from the Dungog showground, riders will make their way to the first two tests on Fosterton Loop, before heading via Chichester and Trevor Tops State Forests to Glen Charlton’s (of Barrington Trail Bike Adventures fame) property on Wangat Trig Road.

His ‘test’ offers great viewing from Chichester Dam Road.

The highlight of the event will be Saturday afternoon, when the riders return to Dungog showground for a test to be held on a course marked out on the showground itself.

Racing action resumes the following morning.

All are welcome to attend the showground to enjoy the action and admission is free.

Well the race was a well run event with about 150 KMs of trails each day. 120 riders,Taking in over 22 private properties and a big chunk of the Barrington tops and surrounding state forest.
Bewley won the Saturday with Merriman second and reversed on the Sunday. The stadium MX at the end of the Saturday was a great success I met up with a lot of old mates and had a great time. I even managed to bump into rider X when he was packing up:laugh: Special thanks goes to Trent Lean for allowing me to camp at his property and to my old mate Jack Redman who set out the course and who at nearly 60 years of age can still ride his trusty old 90 model RMX like a demon:laugh:

sorry no Pics but I may be able to plagiarize some other sites:dry:

thanks ollie. one of my plans was to ride the nx up there and check it out. but the 50km/h wind guts would suck.

i did visit a mate up there on thursday. he lives with his wife deep in the bush and teaches bush survival. we went down to track to check out a bush shelter he had built. it was excellent and had a door, insulation and everything (his wife may be able to do better a she teaches archtects at the uni). anyway, the state titles was to go right past the shelter. i don’t think anyone would have noticed unless they stopped.

Sounds good Ollie, I would have liked to have watched if I wasn’t doing other stuff. Would have entered if I hadn’t been off the bike so long.
