During the week my daughter Taylah was the lucky recipient of a KX65. Stepping up from the pro senior, she needed to master some clutch control and gear changes so an arvo at Moose’s grass track was in order.
It didn’t take long and she had the little KX,hurtling around the track.

We had the Green team theme happening

The bigger kids got hold of the smaller bikes and the shananigans began.
Connor made sure the little KX wasn’t gunna oil up.

George and Alex kept us entertained on the Little DRZ125 and the CRF70

Taylah decided she wanted to give a KX85 a blast and we couldn’t get her off it.

The boys then got the YZ125 out and the racing just got sillier

They are great arvo’s at Moose’s,always good for a laugh and the kids have a ball.

She will have to do a licence upgrade to ride the 65, so it will have to wait to next year before she is ripping it up in the 65 class.Untill then she’ll have to ride one of the pro seniors.

September 14, 2009 at 12:16 am #152571There are a few boys older than her already getting dusted up by her at the track now.
Yeah the 65 is very toey but not as toey as her pro senior. She found the 85 much easier to ride, with the power valve, the KX85’s have a ton of bottom end compared to the 65.
At first she was riding it like “rant rant rant” as she went along the straight but once she got the hang of the power delivery she had it running much smother by the end of the day.September 14, 2009 at 12:17 am #152572

Trouble is she cant reach the ground on the 85, we have to catch her as she comes in.
She is 4 stone ringing wet and she hasn’t got the mass to hold the 85 up when it is stopped let alone get the suspension working.September 14, 2009 at 12:30 am #152578

September 15, 2009 at 12:21 am #152760There is nothing quite as ego busting as being rounded up by a 10 yr old on an 85 on an MX track.
It’s one of those things in life you have to look forward to  .
(in my case it was a 7 yr old on a bombed out SX50, I could hear his laughter above the scream of his bike) :S
Know the feeling Mick?

September 15, 2009 at 12:28 am #152767I get that feeling on a regular basis when I am a sweep rider for the kids at the HVMCC pony express series. :S
