Hey everyone, have just stumbled accross this great forum after being a long time lurker on advrider, im from the armidale coffs area and travel in between these two places all the time,
have explored in 4wd but would like some mates to go trail riding in these areas,

so if anyone is keen to organise something im very keen. id would say that im around a grade 3 rider and can handle most stuff pretty well, i ride a klx300 and a drz400 motard :woohoo: ,

Welcome Silver_STR you’ve come to the right place, ADVrider is a good forum but this one is much more suited to finding local rides and the members are happy to help out with any questions or issues you might have.
We have a few members in your area so if you get keen for a ride post up an expression of interest in the “organise a ride” section, ‘Central NSW rides’.
I am sure someone will be happy to lead for you.
I might even venture up that way one day, I believe you have some excellent riding areas there, I have only ridden a few Trials comps in the New England area in years gone by.

Welcome to OBT Silver. Thanks for the intro,as Beemer suggested,we have quite a few members around your neck of the woods. You’ll have the choice of riding with the Coffs crew, the Tamworth boys or if you are keen,you can lob over to Wauchope and come for a blast with us.
Once KylieD gets wind of you owning the DRZ motard she will be picking your brains, as she is building one as we speak.

Welcome Silver STR, if you’re super keen there is a decent ride going on at Coffs this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday, feel free to join either day. You can also meet STM who is the local Coffs resident and tour guide for the weekend, there is even pubs, beer, pizza and a blat up the beach involved

Welcome to OBT m8.Got a fair few members down Tamworth way now,we are taking over OBT.You are more than welcome to come for a ride with us any time,we do Nundle,Niangala and Nowndoc areas but basically will go anywhere where there is petrol fumes and beer.Hope to catch up on a ride soon.

Hey .welcome aboard Silver.

As Bollocks said we ride any where up around here and If you see a ride for this area posted you better have a ruddy good exuse for not attending., sounds like you might be familiar with the georges junction area,,if so we need to talk, a ride around stiks river and the old armidale to kempsey road would be sweet..

STM, cheers for the invite ,use to live in coffsm, i might be in coffs this weekend on saturday iv driven up all though old quarry near arrawarra,back of coramba near mount brown rd, glenifer etc. id say you know this area like the back of ur hand.

Bollocks id like to explore down nowendoc Gloucester, iv been on the buckets way before, great bit of road, are you from Tamworth?

Boony thanks for the welcome, iv been looking at some topo maps seeing if its possible to get from point look out down to thora, only seem to find horseshoe rd, which is supposed to be good do you know the area?

went 4x4ing down around georges junction and came out near the trout hatchery ,,years ago, I wasnt lead so not reall sure of the way,, but hey if we dont have a look we will never know.

yeah silver from Tamworth.Going to have a ride in November between Nowendoc and hanging rock on a clients farm…pretty bloody big place with some good riding..and eel bashing at night. :woohoo: will work it all out later but keep an eye out on the forum section..up comming rides and i will put something on there.
ps…Boony is the weird one…he is on day release
