Young Tim, (Smurph) (Son of Murph) has had a crash

He and Sam (Son of Morgo) went out for a ride yesterday but didn’t get 2kms before having a head on with a younger unknown lad. Sounds as though they had a pretty heavy impact
To my knowledge the other lad has a disslocated wrist, bruised kidneys and some damage to his teeth as his helmet had been ripped off:unsure: Tim has a broken ankle and a broken knee cap. He had an operation last night so the doctors could have a bit of a look and clear gravel from a deep gash in his knee. Tim is due home as Im writing this.
Hope both boys will make full recovery’s
Big thanks to Mrs Morgo for taking Tim to hospital and to Sam for trailering the bikes home

Just goes as an acute reminder to STAY LEFT when riding our beloved trails.
I’ll keep ya’s posted
Cheers

September 27, 2009 at 7:04 am #154199Sounds like they have almost missed each other Murph, good that he’s got no head or internals, and at that age they heal so so quick. And it is a timely reminder, wish him well.

I also say headlight and tail light should be on all the time.
September 27, 2009 at 8:51 am #154227We need to do all we can to reduce the number of head-ons, headlights should be on all the time as was Tims, and treat every corner as if someone or something is coming the other way.
Thanks for the well wishes fella’s, I’ve passed them on to Smurph
Cheers
