Yesterday Moose and I took our boys up to Kempsey to see the dirt track racing at the Greenhills speedway. Man those boys fly around that track and the way they back into corners is magic to watch. The side car boys are complete nutters,if I am gunna die on a motorcycle I wanna be at the controls, not there for the ride in a side car,at the mercy of some lunatic with 1000cc of raw power at his disposal!!
WE took the boys up for a look to see if they were keen to give it a go next year, judging by the looks on their faces, George was the only one keen. The other two boys are still real keen to do sprints and Pony Express’.

yes they are all Lunatics :woohoo: My father owned the sawmill that is on the track grounds(longtime gone) I used to ride around Greenhill just about every arvo after school. My mate who was recently killed and his brother used to punt a GSX1000 sidecar there. After the funeral service we had a few drinks at the track to remember him it was put on by the MDMCC and most of the boys there I had gone to school with.
Interestingly enough Greenhills is only one of three remaining oiled tracks in Australia.

From what I am hearing the oiled track at Greenhills could be on borrowed time.
It is surrounded by houses now and you know what happens when people move in next to something like that. They start whinging about the noise. Hungry Creek near Wollombi was a fine example of that.
