well my first pony express lasted about 25 meters until some clown threw a WR 450 at me, cause I smoked him off the start ,, the rest is history,,no clutch, rear break or will to race.

Bollocks on the other hand missed me t the first corner and completed 100ks(4 laps) and rode well all day

Thats not good Boony – bloody WR450 riders eh  If its not rocks and crap getting thrown at you, now you are getting whole bikes chucked your way.

Good to hear Bollocks had a good run – I take it there was no DR’s thown at him :P

Bad luck Boony, sometimes people get carried away in the moment and take out half the field, watch a season opener seniors “C” grade MX race at the first corner and the results are hilarious.

    Like TB said you OK?

    WR450s are heavy buggers too.

No real injuries, my right forearm was numb
(from where the rear wheel of the WR hit me)for about 40ks then started coming good.Clutch lever wouldnt release and I think the rear calliper is bent, and you needed both on some of the hills on the razor back section of the trail, it was a 3k long ridge ride that was a tad scary at times.
Only completed 75 ks all up,but geez didnt we turn one on at the club house last night,

thanks to Pep for looking after me (he was a sweep rider) and thanks to Bollocks for carting me up there and home again. All in all I had a ball.

160 bikes entered and the pitts were chockers!!!A grade took off like scalded cats, followed by B grade then the legends of Ironman were at the starting post, there were a heap of us in that line up an d a few had to second tier for the start, including poor ol Boony.Flag dropped and we jumped on the bikes.Ran into the bloke next to me getting on the bike and we both nearly went a over t…boony got a cracker start and threaded through us only to comeagutser. This fella lost it big time and his bike came down right in front of Boony and the poor bugger had no where to go exept to drop an get a mouth full of dirt.I was right behind him and missed his head by about a foot.I held my breath and thought to myself…”Crikey…that was Boony!!!”…hes tuff..cya Boony….zoom!!!! :P
Pretty tough course with the Dust from hell.Lots of river rocks and Talcum powder dust that got worse as the day went on.Had a little dropsie on the first lap which bent my barkbusters onto the brake, bent my key and knocked the Knob off my clutch…Spent the next few minutes belting it all back into place with a rock(who needs Tools?)Next lap had a prang ,sprained my wrist and knocked the head light off(put together with tie wire from a few lads beering up near the creek).Few laps later finally got the checkered flag and was a spent force.
Cold shower then polished off a carton with pep and Boony.Headed over to the club and got right on it till 3 in the morning…God Bless Rum :woohoo: and yes…Pep did get Drunk and Naked…on the Dancefloor too!!!!Must have been dancing with Boony.Woke the next morning and felt like i had been hit by a roadside bomb…Happy days :cheer:
Still no good today….i want my Mummy :(
