I was just talking to one of the local ambos this morning and he told me they choppered a 46 year old trailrider with a broken femur out of the Herons Creek section of Bago State forest yesterday.
His ride buddy managed to get back and raise the alarm but then wasn’t able to exactly remember where it happened,so it took ages to find the injured rider as he was down in the single trail. The accident happened at 2pm and they didn’t end up getting old mate out of the bush until 9pm last night.It would have been a long painful wait for the poor bugger.
A GPS and a mobile phone would have been handy under the circumstances.
