Firstly apologies for not being there
Chicken and Family – Chicken was throwing up
Crash and Family – Busy with kid activities
Moto – Probably got piss wrecked the night before and whinged it was going to take 3hrs to get there (we all discussed that and couldn’t work out how he got 3hrs  )
Boulder – Away with Family up the north coast
Murph the Surf – No idea, lets just say he doesnt like Dan
We meet at 12 at the park on left going into Brooklyn. The roll was called and present was Eagle and Family, Chris and Family, Dan and Family, Jeffro (who turned up with a BLOODY BIKE), Mal 5.1, and Myself and Family oh and mad eyes the dog.
We had some drinks
Bench raced a little cause we sat on a park bench
Jeffro was excited about his new bike as he has seen the light and gone with the strength
We did the BBQ thing where I belive I heard someone say the satay chicken was the best
Kylie did some ripper kebabs for the kids that Dan cooked
BBQ action
Dan with his giggle hat, Dan and I both choose giggle hats as a tribute the White Rocket
The kids rode their bikes and scooters on the half pipes and ramps at the skate park there. We then had the first ever OBT cricket game where I hit the biggest 6 ever in the whole world !!! The kids and adults had heaps of fun, there was some wild air swings and Chris almost took a classic fatty Vatin style out field catch man he ran hard and gave his all
Heres what I mean if you haven’t seen it

It was a great time lots of fun, thanks to Salina for driving home
Next year now we know the concept works and we have a good location we will make it a one and all and plan it more then a week before

AnonymousYeah true to form I woke up feeling pretty dusty to say the least. I had still intended at this point to come down but by 9:30 when I was supposed to leave we still had guests and I was still feeling very ordinary.
Looks like my alcohol addiction made me miss a good day. I will be sure to get to the next one, dogs and all
November 29, 2009 at 8:12 am #163117I second that motion (to make it an Annual BBQ / Cricket Challenge) that is!!!
It was a good day out with the families, kids running round together, girls chatting about whatever  & the guyz bench racing & acting the goat as usual
Thanx for the day all who attended & sorry to Chicken, Crash & Boulder that couldn`t make it
as for Moto, you moley mole, because of you Tyne missed a good day out with the girls
As for the travel, it took us 1hr5mins from the F3 start to get to Brooklyn
I have been home since 5.30, unpacked, mowed the lawn & had another two beers before tea
Thanx again All involved, it was a huge success

AnonymousI said it’s probably 2.5 hours. Sounds like it could have been quicker if you got there in 1h 5 min. 2 hours sounds sensible then.
It’s all moot anyway, I shouldn’t have been driving a car
I’m even not drinking tonight!
I’m glad Michelle made a new friend
What’s the joke about all the people that actually went apologizing for not being there?
November 29, 2009 at 8:21 am #163140Yep Great day out, 1.5 hours no problem travel time, Watch out eagle you might be out of a job I think ol’ mad eyes has taken a shine to Michelle, Thanks everyone that attended for a great day, great location, didn’t see or hear too much from the kids, that alone was worth the day.
Cheers
CHris.November 29, 2009 at 8:33 am #163118Ha Ha Chris, Old Mad Eyes has been trained up by his father, DAND I think
Dirty little deviat he is
And yes, the kids were excellent and were quiet over there on the skate park, which makes it an even better day for the grown ups for sure
Can`t wait for the next one now :woohoo:
AS FOR YOU BOONY,,,
You choose to live up there in the woods Boonster, move on down mate or get the same type of day organised for the Tamworthians, there are enough of ya`s now
seriously, it is a great idea as it brings the other halves together as well as the kids & can only promote the Brownie Pts Tallywe hope anyway

November 29, 2009 at 9:42 am #163143Hey what about Mal 5.1’s effort driving from the other side of Lithgow to Brooklyn and back for the BBQ was a ripper effort.
I guess Mal has had heaps of practice but lately driving his Husky to and from the dealer since he purchased it
TB
November 29, 2009 at 9:48 am #163119Yes I have just been looking up the route from Brooklyn to Portland on Google Maps,,,,
Seems it took Mal some 56 and a half days, as well he had to Kayak across a few oceans and visit Hawaii, japan, PNG then drive down fron NT
AND THAT IS ONLY ONE WAY !!!!!I forgot to add NSW to the Brooklyn bit
Big Effort but Mal, especially when you were up on the Central Coast only yesterday as well
November 29, 2009 at 7:28 pm #163151Where are the photo’s Dan, Kylie and Jeffro?
TB
November 29, 2009 at 8:15 pm #163167Yeah Yeah. Thats the reason I didn’t make it down to Brooklyn
I don’t like Dan….. because he has grown a better Mo in one month than I have in a life time:laugh:
Was meant to take Smurph (Tim) for his first ride since his accident. That didn’t happen as we had a surprise three day visit from my uncle out of NZ. Unc has just bought one of those Jayco camper-bus thingy’s and has embarked on a round Aus trip :woohoo:
Anyway sounds like a good time was had by all
Cheers
