    for those interested

i’ve been scouring the net for big bore kits this is what i’ve come up with B)

most sites have kits available for the other lesser known bike makes, i.e. Honda , Kwaka, Suzi and Yami :P

    http://rpmmfg.com/Sleeve.aspx

they have listed for the Orange flavoured 2T bikes

    KTM 200 to 220cc 1998-02 $635.00

    KTM 300 to 330cc 1996-03 $690.00

    KTM 360 to 390cc 1997-99 $690.00

    KTM 380 to 410cc 1998-02 $690.00

    http://www.ht-racing.com/

have 355 and 400 kits for the 05 250 exc-f as per the email below

“The 355 and 400 kits are for your 2005 250.

The 300 kit is for 2006-2009 250 models SXF and XCF.

You do not have to port or cam the 300 kit. If you do it will add more power up top.

    Bill Jr.
    HTR”

and for those with LC4’s, men’s bikes  :P :P

damn and blast the link on http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=208668

to Schneider Cycles no longer works :(

they did a 675 big bore kit for the Lc4’s that have the 78mm stroke bikes like mine

so i guess they are not available anymore :( and i was saving up and all too >insert crying real tears emoticon here< sniff sniff, sob sob, ooooh siiiigh guess it’s back to dreaming of a big bore smoker again. ” fade to dream sequence, “=> pre 2002 build kato 300 with a 410 kitted 380 top end.

    :woohoo:

Why don’t you just buy a 700cc Maico 2 dinger. Or a Harley with knobbies?

Really wanna kick some sand into faces, in canberra many years ago I spotted a ’92 CR250 witha big bore RZ350 twin 2T powerplant, now considering a set of flatslides and pipe will give you 70 (yes read it) ponies out of a near stock RZ350, I’m a thinking this could be the ticket for you XY, as obviously piffling things like handling and turn-in are not of a concern to real men who lust after big-bores or powa as such.

And the harley that’s just Dumb Moto, your 300 would whip it’s butt, plus all that leaking oil won’t mix with the dust too well.

Sorry bout your thread transit! p.s I’d be wary of big bore kits but if your determined they can work. Take a look around KTMtalk.com for some discussion in the RFS forum.

No I was ebing TIC (tongue in cheek), remember I have owned real big bore Roadies that still held a line and diced the mountain twisties,, but what I shoulda said is, “do you need more power, or there somehwere else that could use improvement to get you around quicker first” a piece of advice given to me by a ex superbike champ and one time bathhurst contender.

Each has it’s place, Big bores for roll-on lazy power in the bush, nothing wrong with that, just make sure everything else is up to it…. like fer instance a highly modded XR650 that shall reamin nameless eh?

BTW I’m B/Boring MY 2T at next rebuild, so I am being hypocritical to a degree, that’s why it was TIC, already done the suspension and almost finalised the brakes, new W/R gearset on it’s way, so it was the next logical step, not for more powa, but for better torque.

    Hows that?

Still think a bush harley is a PIG of an idea

No TB, they are the best, we all know. They go for ever and never break, have heaps of power and out handle everything out there. Honda’s are the best of them all.
