Cheers all, I got no photos but I can tell you the route.
Departed Ncle.with a friend [on Monday] who was christening his new[to him]wee strom. He is a trials buddy, but new to ADV so a mellow experience was in order. We went from ncle/ to Maitland/ via woodberry/ and the back way to Morpeth/…. Damn bridge was closed so into maitland/ then Mt pleasant st/ to aberglasslyn/ and over the melville ford/. Continue out through rosebrook /stanhope/ and through to singleton/ all tar winding and brilliant riding!!

Fuel in singo/ and then up the bridgeman rd/ towards lake st clair/ for about 16km then turn left into goorangoola road/. I had not been on this bit before and it turned out to be a real gem. nice tar with heaps of pretty creek crossings then half way it goes to dirt and is just beautiful and fun to ride-[45km ‘ish ]. Old matey stood up on his wee strom and tackled it…. ginger to start off but ended up with a fair clip of speed and not to unstable. These bikes can be a bit intimidating when they move around on the dirt

This road has a few forks but the way is obvious and heads toward rouchel/.From this point my plan went wonky…. and the right turn into dalvey rd/ had us talking with 2 farmers who indicated[nicely] that we were not going any further up that road. They did tell me that I can get through from upper rouchel/ to stewarts brook/ but I elected to leave this for another day and with a more experienced adv rider. We headed from here back toward aberdeen/ but turned right after segenhoe stud/ crossed the broad crossing/ and went past lake glenbawn/ and down to the gundy to aberdeen road/. My plan from here was to head back to singleton/ down the NEHwy/ then turn left, and go over to east gresford/— beer in the pub— and ride home via vacy/ paterson/ and then out.

Old matey was looking a bit tired and the sky was getting stormy so we went back the way we came from singleton/ and got nailed by a storm at maitland. Good decision to shorten the ride it turned out.
Back home we calculated 350km round trip, if the riding sounds interesting, get a bike, and come along or lead the way either way is good

    Cheers

Sounds like a good trip there Scott, will have to hook up for a ride after Christmas sometime when I get back. I have a new (to me) Transalp I picked up on Sunday. Just need to put some decent tyres on it and fix a couple of other little things and all will be good.

Hey Jeffo – have you taken the Transalp out for a ride yet. You need to start up a thread and post some pictures of it.

Treadwell backwards – I’m glad you had a good ride. From memory you had good weather for it too.
