So on Tuesday I rode from the central coast to home. I rode into Ourimbah up dog trap rd, down through Somersby and down the old pacific hwy to the pie in the sky. I had a couple of pies there and then rode down through Galston and across to home
Some of the sweet sweepers on the old Pacific hwy
Each of the bridges presented there own special big four stroke challenge
And the crowd
I also did a dirt road section, thats so much fun
It is so good to be back on the bike and having done nearly 400kms in the last two days has been just what this doctor ordered
Today I rode down the Wisemans Ferry and meet Dan who rode the DR down from his end. More to come laterTB
December 17, 2009 at 6:56 am #165514While some of us are working hard getting this little country back on its feet!!
You guys are riding around on bikes having counter lunches and drinking cold beer!!
Half your luck :blush:December 17, 2009 at 7:02 am #165521“Each of the bridges presented there own special big four stroke challenge “
And this would be what? Keeping the front wheel on the road maybe?
I hope you didn’t make any of those black marks.December 17, 2009 at 7:40 am #165515Nice pics of the road TB
As for you & Dan going to Wisemans today, I have one word,,,,,,

December 19, 2009 at 8:18 am #165527So a quick phone call to Dan had Kylie sending him down to Wisemans Pub for a beer. When Dan pulled up it was so hot that we joked about sitting until about 7 for the cool change
We suited up and fueled up at the servo and went down and waited for the ferry.
Once on the ferry we meet the other hard core road racers we would battle with on the run the Spencer
Dan loved the scooters every time I mentioned them he would go
It was funny on the ferry I was talking to the guy from the Sydney scooter club and was telling him Dan was always talking about Scooters and loved them and wanted one so badly
We then enjoyed a quick trip to Central Mangrove conscience of the speed limit at all times, at times I was so amazed when I looked at the speedo
We had a little rain as one stage and at another stage when being conscience of the speed limit I found myself performing a jump over half a meter high over a bridge on the road :ohmy:We then went to the golf club at Central Mangrove
After a cooling drink and a chat about ride attitude we discovered whilst being conscience of the speed limit I thought I was holding Dan up. Meanwhile while being conscience of the speed limit Dan was wondering why I was traveling near the speed limit, I thought I was holding him up and he was wondering  So there is a lesson kids
We rode down dog trap road through Ourimbah and over the ridgeway to Tumbi Umbi. Dan fueled and went home and I went to where the family was waiting
Thanks for a great ride Dan, as I always say you are the man.
Kylie your DR rips, I mean that thing really cranks along

December 19, 2009 at 10:41 am #165753Sounds like a good day out TB.
I just wish I could view photos at work.
December 19, 2009 at 7:10 pm #165767I think you are a bit too worried about the speed limit TB, with a bit more experience you will know by the engine speed if you are going too fast
:cheer:
Did the DR get a jetting kit? They respond well with the right jetting setup.

Are you camped near the river or something?
I am so jealous of those DR wheels, might have to upgrade mine, give the Beemer what it deserves.
