I went and did another 165kms today and whilst out visited Crash. When I was leaving I watched Crash kick start my fiddy, whats the big deal you say a cranky 650cc four stroke. Oh thats right he was bare footed

First kick and easy if you know what you are doing ;)

Would have been in a world of pain if he didnt get it right. Brings a tear to the eye and a shake of the head.

P.S Rode some black stuff and met up with Choppa, Menace and Tdriver the other day and clocked 172 k’s ;)

Shouldn’t be to hard TB. What with 5:1 compression 16 gears and an 800 rpm rev limit. :P Any farmer can start a tractor bare footed.

Seriously Crash that is tough (and probably a little silly), until your foot folds up against your shin.

had a bloke from work totally smash his foot trying to kickstart a bigbore about 10yrs ago with joggers on. he was in his 40’s and has never returned to work as his injury left him incapable of ever working underground again. has cost him a packet and worse part was, it wasnt his bike, he was doing a mate a favour and had it sitting outside his property with a 4 sale sign on it.

    Barefoot,

    ahhhh, i cant look

Yeah so true, I saw the aftermath of a guy in Orange who had a broken foot and a broken kick start shaft in the case on a XR400 and he had bloodstone boots on

I start my bike in double pluggers, Mick starts his XR650 in thongs I have heard him talk about it. They start so easy if you do the right thing and the difference between pluggers and bare foot is bugger all, yet I was amazed watching Crash but he made it look easy  I couldn’t bring myself to do it  :P

I don’t believe I talk it up, I aim at getting people to ride for longer so I can, you may perceive it as me being a “hero” but that’s not the aim.

Quiet because I’m in the company of people 2x or more my age and ride time.
    Learn more listening.
