I finally got around to purchasing some Muc-off products. I got the following products
Bike Wash
Silicone Spray
Disc Brake Cleaner
Also scored a Chain Cleaner Kit
A video on how the chain cleaner works
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Inw7MJzEfo
Now I have used truck wash for lots of years and I get my truck wash for free so I figure this stuff had better be good if its going to beat free
I washed my bike this arvo and have to say that and the degreaser and the bike wash worked really really good. Its only early days yet and time will tell.
I noticed it cleaned the plastics and the wheels better then the truck wash and doesnt streak like truck wash does also you didnt have to use as much as the truck wash. My bike wasn’t real dirty so I will keep using it for a while and write what I find.
I know a couple of members have also got some Muc-Off maybe they can add their thoughts here please

January 15, 2010 at 6:02 am #168258Ok, courtesey of Muc-OffTM and Old Bulls I received my FREE bottle of bike wash late last year.
Now not having ridden in around 2 and 1/2 months what is a bloke gunna clean? I know the cars always get a good sevicing over the Xmas break, so I went with my bottle of PINK Muc-OffTM in my mitts.Firstly I attacked the Lasers engine bay, and being a ford it had some oil residue laying around and other cruddy looking stuff that Fords leak when stressed (being driven is stressfull enough to a ford car) a few quick squirts, left for a few minutes and wash off with normal hose and presto shiny shiny gunk free engine bay…
Missus thought I actually scrubbed it.
Next was My Rodeo, engine bay in it is usually fairly tidy so just a quick wash around with a little Muc-OffTM and it looked brand spankers, but underneath I spied a bit of a gearbox leak  and so off I went Muc-OffingNot TM’d my heart out, by the time I finished it was clean enough to eat Menaces tea off, laughing.
Would I recommend it- yep, so much so my riding mate actually paid for some for His bikes, and he’s pretty frugal with the money too.

AnonymousI have used the muc-off on KD’s motard which only had road grime on it and I used it today to wash the KLR and KD’s WR after our little adventure yesterday and today.
The jury is still out with me whether I like muc-off or not compared to truck wash.
When I washed the DR with it, yes it did come up clean and the second step bike spray did do a good job.
The other two bikes had a fair amount of watties clay all over them, I followed the directions but I cant really say that I found the clean any better than what you would get with truck wash.
The above comments are mine only and are the results of my evaluation on the two muc-off products that we received.
January 15, 2010 at 7:11 am #168259TB your bike was on the road last ride,, give the product a fair go and test it on the fiddy after a proper dirt bike ride when the mud and cruck is everywhere,
so far the muck off product looks really good to me,, the mud will test it I recon.

Pretty sure I covered all that knunkle head when I said it wasnt real dirty, although I did two pretty muddy dirt roads today before I washed it which was interesting on road tyres
But thanks Boony

mr blue, please dont start on the blue oval, its been a sad week for ford fans….
and besides, a laser is a bloody re-badged mazda…
like your rodeo is a re-badged isuzu.
my dinner    i just ate a hamburger with the blackest drty bike greased hands. it was great. i think the smell of grease adds to the taste of a good burger…..and it brings back childhood memories too
i will be calling mal about some mucoff magic stuff. it sounds the go.
i might use it for the dishes..since im now a domesticated biarch
January 15, 2010 at 10:10 am #168271I won some of this stuff so i cant really comment on value for money, i reckon (being a slack bastard) this stuff isnt as good as Shift It, with Shift It i spray on gurney off. Muc Off works ok but more scrubbing and polishing is required to get the bike looking as good as when i Shift It and gurney.
I guess i better clarify that Muc Off is better for the environment than Shift It (if you care about that sort of thing)

Menace yeah I know, actually they’re rebadged well engineered cars that what ford and holden were churning out at that time.
glad the burger was tasty, haven’t met one myself that didn’t have some appeal

AnonymousI have also trailed Muc-Off as i was given a free bottle courtesy of the caption competition and Muc-Off.
I normally use CT18 and am pretty happy with the results I get from that. My bike has now been washed from filthy back to sparkling clean 3 times using the Muc-Off. I wash as much of the mud off as I can, then apply the Muc-Off, wait for 10 mins and then rinse. Afterwards I still need to get at the bike with the sponge and bubbles. I had to do that with the CT18 as well though.
In all I don’t find it any better or worse than CT18. I did note that you need to use less of the Muc-Off though.
In the end of the day, for me, it will come down to whichever is the cheapest.
Their chain cleaning tool looks the goods though so I’d be interested to hear how well that works.

February 1, 2010 at 9:34 am #168260young bloke who rode with us yesterday Jarrod uses muc off on his bike…couldn’t stop raving how good it was…he even covered his big F150 with it !!!…he reckons he cant find it anywhere in Tamworth so we filled him in about how they are one of our sponsors and he got a wee bit exited
…should be becoming an old bull any minute
Bol :woohoo:
February 1, 2010 at 10:59 am #170069Yeah Bollocks it is good stuff, I find it funny to talk about it because people may think its cash for comments type carry on. Its not, as I said at the start I get my truck was for free so to pay for this it would have to be good and it is

February 1, 2010 at 12:03 pm #170086I have been using this stuff for a couple of months now and have washed all our bikes with it. It works very well at getting most of the crap off without scrubbing. I have a small oil leak on one bike and using the brushes supplied in the kit the oil cleans off nicley. It brings the plastics up real shiny and leaves a wax on them so the water beads off when it rains.
I’ve used the bike shine a couple of times and it does the trick in making the bike stand out. You just have to be carful not to spray too much on as runs and streaks. But a quick wipe with a cloth fixes that
I’ll be buying more of the bike wash very soon.
May 8, 2010 at 12:46 am #170091After being lucky enough to win some Muc-Off product at Sofala and bringing home a very dirty bike I thought I would give it a real tough test. My bike was absolutely filthy and had been sitting in the garage for a week so the crap had set up real good
I used the Muc-Off pink cleaner, the Bike Spray and the Micro Fibre cloth. I could rattle on about how good it worked but as they say a picture tells a thousand words so here is the result. Before
After
Before

As you can see it does a great job and if you have a choice when purchasing cleaning products get the one that supports the site. Muc-Off!
