Morning all
Just been doing some reading and boy there is certainly alot of riding taking place this year, so many organised rides it’s hard to keep track of, which started me thinking(yes i am sitting down)
Would it be possible to put the events/ rides that have been organised into calendar/date order.eg feb march april may and so on. I just thought it may help with whats on and when – especially when some rides are months down the track and I’m trying to get myself organised and not double book – For me Nundle is 7.5- 8 hr drive and I would need to plan well in advance to be able to attend, just thinking that a quick reference type calendar would help.hatto
I’m talking about the bigger/more attended rides (nundle pre-run, micks b’day, high country, multi-day type rides)
February 9, 2010 at 10:35 pm #170744That is the purpose of the Events / Dates thread. As it says in the forum header “Event dates, what’s going on where and when, plan your year “
We keep it locked so the dribble doesnt confuse people as much, and the dribble goes on in the ride threadEvents / Dates thread, locked and with instructions
Hope that helps mate

Hi Tb
that is where i was reading, just thought if they were in date/month order you could quickly see which event is next to jump so to speak

February 10, 2010 at 8:10 pm #170757good idea this ,,
unless we ride nundle all other rides are about 3 hours drive in any direction with the (exception of cells) and along with parental responsibilities being able to see whats available and when is a real bonus,, I try to get to a fair few obt rides, so i welcome this concept.
February 10, 2010 at 8:32 pm #170859maybe we could use the events calender, isnt that what its for??
February 10, 2010 at 8:53 pm #170860Yes maybe it is time to bring back the events calendar (YES / NO), circle the appropriate one
Chris.

Really it isnt that hard, all the major events are listed in the locked thread. I just get the calendar at home and sit down and mark them on the home calendar so Salina knows I wont be home.
If you want an event list any of the moderators will put in it and update it for you.

February 10, 2010 at 8:55 pm #170862So Hatto does that mean you’ve just volunteered to keep the events calendar updated?
Chris.

Maybe an events calender in a different format.
Suggestion only
What if the events calendar was part of the forum thread under the events date, when you opened that thread it had a 12 month calender which highlited which the organised rides in order. Just like the events calander now except it is at a place where more people visit and it is always part of the thread.
Maybe it could be linked to the thread so that when a mod puts in the event/date it automatic updates and highlites the calendarNot harping or trying to take over, just offering some feedback
