I’e recently replaced my Yoshi RS-3, with a TK -pipe on my DRZ400 and can report the TK is just as good if not better than the yoshi. The best bit is that the TK never needs repacking, Yea-ha. Bottom end performance is better with top end equal. it may be 1kg or so heavier than the yoshi but its legal @ 94DBa. cost was $550 delivered (includes jetting kit and destructions) and TK can answer any question ASAP not like the old clown @ Mladins (sole importer & parts distributor of Yoshi pies) who don’t respond to tech help.
and they’re 100% aussie built & owned.
March 22, 2010 at 6:34 am #173998you running a standard header pipe with the new mortar launcher????
Boony
DRZ 400March 22, 2010 at 6:36 am #173999bog stock header, the TK flanges out underneath the side cover.
March 22, 2010 at 8:21 am #174002Sounds like a winner and Aussie made to boot. Barrett pipes are as far as my exhaust experince goes on a couple of DR’s also Aussie made but need repacking

Got to agree with you on that one, I sent 3 emails and got no aswers. I even phoned them 2 times only to be told someone would ring me back (they never called me back). I ended up making the part I needed becuase the WANKERS at Matt Mladins couldn’t be bothered calling back and as they are the only importer you have no option but to do it yourself.
March 24, 2010 at 3:51 am #174001I have a Yoshimura pipe and header on my DRZ it came with the bike when i bought it. If I would have bought one it would have to be Staintune full system they are Aussie made and good quality, Tony Kirby built a DRZ and WR for the Safari and he swore by them. But theres lots of good aftermarket pipes out there we are spoilt for choice nowdays. If you buy Australian made you normally get good after sales support and something made for our conditions.
April 15, 2010 at 10:01 pm #174266Hi Boulder,
Good to hear you are happy with the TK pipe on your Suzuki, I tend to think that his products are not as popular because everybody seems to go for the name brands but they are a top quality product, extremely well made and he can tune it to your liking  a lot of people don’t know it but he also makes all the GYTR Yamaha exhausts for road and off-road :woohoo: and he is a local bloke to where I live
April 15, 2010 at 10:25 pm #176200Thats interesting Mike I didnt know he made the GYTR Yamaha exhausts cheers for the knowledge
I always thought they were a mass produced in mexico (OS) or the likes GO LOCAL !!TB

I read somewhere recently DRD are making the offroad pipes for yamaha, maybe only the 2010 YZ450, although hes making them they are not the same as his own branded gear.
