April 3, 2010 at 7:13 am #175278Nice to make your virtual acquaintaince Daisy, an old trials Honda 125 4 stroke, could be worth a couple of K to the right person, but personally if you have any attachment to it, I’d restore the old girl at your leisure.
Nothing wrong with roadbikes, it’s just the other idiots you have to share the road with that took me away from them in the end..

April 4, 2010 at 9:47 am #175301Welcome Daisy, I have a friend who had one of those TL125’s im going back 30 years mind you but they were a good bike, I think the Yamaha TY series was the bike to have (excluding the Euro’s)but the old TL was a favorite with the farmers as it was a four stroke and had low gearing. If you can get it for the right price grab it and restore it,they are appreciating in value.

April 4, 2010 at 9:06 pm #175298Hello Daisey, the TL is worth what someone will pay on the day . If it goes is mostly original, and is rideable its around $1000. If it is like new and close to perfect then sure around $2000 to $2500 to the right collector. At the other end of the scale they are given away. There is a club for post classic trials at Denman NSW with a couple of TL riders competing regular. If its for sale set a figure, then I can pass on your contact details [or visa versa]to them or do the ebay thing. The exhausts seem to rust out on them and the rear shocks are poor apart from that they are good and becoming collectable.

yep I reckon our new member Daisy may indeed be a fan of Ms Duke from the Dukes of Hazard.
Married in real life to Ringo Starr as well.
