Important must read and reply if you want to ride
OK couple of weeks to go, please PM me so I know you have read it, and you can be marked as confirmed and going if you don’t it could compromise you going.
* This is not a paid ride, there is no money changing hands it just me going for a ride and you have decided to follow. I am not responsible for you, your bike or your belongings. If you are not happy at any stage with any part of the ride, you are free to leave and not participate, remember you are joining me of you own free will. If you have a friend that’s a fancy talking lawyer stay home with him and have fun together.
* This is a trail ride, sort of an adventure tour as such, don’t see the word race there do you? No because it’s not a race. If you are a hero racer or a hero stay home with old mate and his lawyer buddy. (Besides I am the fastest, I am the only one that knows the way  )
There are many hidden obstacles, rocky sections, blind crests and curves, it will be dusty please ride within your limit, if you feel you are slow (not that you will be) you will be faster then a guy laying on ground waiting for help, don’t spoil it for yourself and everybody else.Old Bulls must also state that this is NOT an organised event and that no organisational function is undertaken or initiated by Old Bulls with respect to such rides. There are no set tracks/ routes and members ride at their own time and discretion. Old Bulls forum is a medium used for organizing rides by members and in attendance Old Bulls takes no responsibility or liability for injury or damage to persons or personal property that may occur
So the plan is to leave the start location at 8am sharp not 10 past if you are slow to get ready get there early, (start location will be PM’ed at a later date to all riders)
We will ride through to Capertee for a snack and fuel. From there through to Sofala, via a fuel dump for a splash and dash for those that require it.
We will camp on the Turon river close enough to Sofala that we can go to the pub if we need to.It will cost you $10 paid to the support drivers when you hand your gear over to have your gear and fuel carried by the support vehicle that is not neg (what they choose to do with money if they don’t want it etc is their business)
We will refuel at Capertee on the way home and have lunch.
The weekend will be between 300 to 400kms
As this thread is locked please chat in ride thread here
We now have two support vehicles and trailers
ImportantAs far as the fuel side of things go if everybody can buddy up with someone and share a 20 liter Jerry Can that will provide enough fuel for two bikes at the overnight stop and reduce the number of Jerry Cans required to be carried by the support vehicle
Everyone that is going on this ride please be aware you need to take on the support vehicle
1x full 20 litre Jerry (between two bikes)
Swag or Tent sleeping bag etc
Food for your Saturday night dinner and Sunday morning breakfast. Both Saturday and Sundays lunch can be purchased on the ride or you can take it if you so wish
Drink snacks etc
Clothes etc
Please pack as light as you can just do the best you can. Maybe you can pack you and a mates drinks in the one esky
I will be taking a 5kv generator and lighting for the camp site and remember we are camping around 5 kms from Sofala and trust me it doesn’t have a Westfield so take what you need.
We will need to get away from the start location at 8am sharp as we have some great tracks to cover with a large group and would like to spend some relaxing time along the way and plenty of time to socialise when we get there.
Please check you bike over, have heavy duty tubes fitted if you can or you will be shouting the sweeps beers. Please get a spare spark plug and at least a front tube to carry with you. If you don’t have all the gear that’s ok but at least cover those basics someone will have levers etc
Any questions any at all PM me or contact me on 0419 421334
Please PM me reply so I can mark you name of and confirm you are attending and have read the above
